Yes...a few years ago.....I have used them two or three times.....but for delivering items to favorite crew members onboard......the response I got from the recipients was wonderful (I never saw the baskets) so I assume they were great!!!

Shirley always gets good reviews and I have met with her at her store once before we sailed to say hello....very nice woman!!!

we will be getting a few done for the boys!!! I have heard ALOT of good things about her too.....

ok I'm leaving again LOL ..........need to go do some stuff :cool2:

We are flying Continental out of EWR on Wed the 8th....hope Continental does not change flight times around again.

I would have preferred Continental, but they were at least $100 more! And Stewart is so convenient to those of us in Rockland and North Bergen County.

Morning!!!

Boy am I beat today....last night had to work a shift at the Disney Store for a floor move so worked 8:00 pm to 2:30 am.....bed by 3:00 am and up at 7:00 am.....I certainly will be dragging at my office job today!!!

MJ - which store are you at, Palisades or Paramus?

Wow, that is really nice. About how far in advance do you usually order? I'm really not sure what I'd want, but nothing too fancy. Just something nice maybe anniversary themed.

Palisades.....I usually work stock (though I admit I have not been working much there at all since the Christmas rush) but I am still on the books and go in whenever they call and need me.

I booked our Continental flights from EWR back in the fall of 2007....right when the rates came out. We paid $168 each R/T including taxes with direct flights.

Really wanted to try the new airline onboard check-in for our return so we booked one-way transfers from the ship to MCO....our flight is at 12:30 pm

Oh,...just saw your ticker....congrats on the fantastic weight loss...how you doing it...if you don't mind answering.....

We got the Wii fit recently and I really find I am more active with that in the house than before....very competitive with the family....need to lose a bunch of weight but it is a start!!! Now to cut down on the snacking.....

I think I ordered them about 2 weeks in advance but I am sure you can do it even earlier if you want. I had special things put in (like a six-pack of beer) that Shirley went out and bought so I would not have to ship it to her. She will do things like that....if you have a specific item in mind. Another time she picked up magazines for me that I wanted to include in the basket so I would not have to send those to her. Of course she charges accordingly but she will go out of her way to make the basket the way you want it!!!

I think the baskets I had ordered were about $45.00/$50.00 in total.

I still stay in touch with a few crew members who have since left DCL. Actually some past crew members are staying with us for a few days this September from Austrailia!! They both worked onboard..she from cruisestaff...he worked on CC.....they met, dated, fell in love and were married.

wow that's terrific about the crew members. That's a cool way to meet working for a cruise. This will be our first cruise, and I just keep hearing how the crew members are so nice. I want 3 months to hurry up and go by
:rotfl:

I was looking at Shirley's website a couple of weeks ago. The stuff she posted is really nice. I'll have to put some thought into it and see what i can come up with.

Hi everyone!

I don't think I even want to try to figure out what you all have been up to while we were in Seattle... I just hope everyone has been behaving themselves!

We had a great time, except for one little incident our last night. A powerchair and I sideswiped each other in a crosswalk! He wasn't hurt, the chair a little bit damaged, but not awful... I have a small scratch on the beast, probably not even worth fixing.

I feel terrible about it, but the truth is, if *I* had been in the power chair, I would never have tried to cross at the crosswalk! The beast (my van) is VERY tall, and I could not see him AT all... I was trying to turn right to get OUT of the crosswalk so that I pedestrian I did see crossing on the other side could get across without going into traffic...

Sigh... anyway... I was NOT cited in the accident thankfully... Whew!

Talk to you all soon....

Hey Heidi.

Glad to hear you had a great trip. Glad there wasn't too much damage to the power chair in the cross walk. Its a puzzler as to why he'd try to cross when there was a van making a turn. Those things are dirt slow. A crosswalk is a good place to cross, but a crosswalk with a traffic light is even better.

Heidi! Welcome home!! What a scary situtation! I am sure you felt horrible about it! I can't even imagine! At least you didn't do like the tractor trailer driver did a few months ago....where he hooked a person in a chair on the front of his tractor and pushed him down the road! That would have been REALLY scary for everyone! And Maureen is right. HE was just as much at fault. He should have been paying attention and NEVER assume someone can see him!

What a day we had. Andrew, who will be 2 in August, is not feeling well. He has not been sleeping/napping good all week and has had a fever since yesterday morning. Jennifer and I are chaulking it up to teeth. However, he is BEYOND clingy and whiny! Oh boy. I am just glad it's Friday! LOL On another note, he also can make himself puke when he doesn't get his way! He has gone through every sheet and blanket he owns this week! I put him down for his nap at 1...after he took a snooze at 945...unlike him. Anyway, He fussed for about 15 mins, but I didn't go back in. Apparently, he was mad because he didn't get his way, and puked in his bed again! I didn't go check on him, so he slept in it! On one hand, good, I hope he learns from this? and on the other, I feel horrible! He could have asperated it!!! That scares me. But how do you get an almost 2 year old to STOP doing this? it's both gross and unhealthy! He's done it every night this week and even did it twice to them last night!

Anyhow...What's for dinner?? :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: I really have no ideas! LOL I stopped and got me a French Vanilla Cappuccino and a dozen doughnuts for in the morning....but that doesn't make a dinner, does it?

Hey Michele:wave:

You can keep your cappuchino but what kind of donuts did you buy? And I for 1 see no reason why a dozen donuts can't be supper for Friday night
:rotfl2:

I can't really help you with ideas though. We're having leftover chicken from the other night. Otherwise known as we're too lazy to leave the house:lmao:

Hi Maureen!!

Colton has raided the cupboards and although I suggested kielbasa on the grill with peirogies, he has brought me the Chef Boyardee Family Size Pizza Kit! LOL I don't have pepperoni, but he wants me to put diced ham..lunchmeat...on his part! LOL Connor wants plain cheese....dunno what I'm going to put on Steve's part! LOL This might not even be enough! I think there's some leftovers in the fridge from this week too. I guess it's "Fend for Yourself" night! LOL

the boys have borrowed Mario Karts from my friend that is on vacation. It looks like a Wii night for us!

Sounds like a plan to me. We sometimes do a fend for yourself night on the weekends i work. Sometimes not. I've never tried the Piizza kit. Is it any good? Lately I've been jonesing for Chef Boy R Dee and been having it on my days off for lunch. I'd forgotten how good it could.

Although I have to say I really do prefer my pizza palin, just the crust, sauce and cheese for me.

Just got home from the kids last day of school.. .It was soo sad.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's just one of those box kits you can buy. It's got a crust mix, sauce and "cheese", if that's what they call it! LOL I always add extra mozerella!

I ate a lot of ravioli when I was preggers with Colton and still working! I used to eat a whole can, two slices of bread with butter and a glass of milk! When I got home, I would put my feet up in the Lazyboy and nosh on a bag of Oreos and MORE milk! LOL With Connor I craved chicken wings! And with Colton I also craved Arby's Beef and Cheddar sandwiches.

HI KRISTIN!!!! Are you feeling any better? Has the weather got better for you?

Off to make these pizzas! BBL!!

The sad part is that if don't control myself I could easily eat all of that now and I'm not pregnant:rotfl2:

I wish I could chat more lately. Just sayinga quick "hi" at work.

No work on a Friday though, no way! I am watching Camp Rock with dd tonight, so I may be able to DIS during commercials LOL.
