Man o Man! DHubby and I go away for the weekend without the 3 DDs (belated anniversary and his b-day) and y'all time warp ahead to yet another chapter! Just finished skimming the last chapter and caught up with this one.

We spent the weekend in historic downtown Wilmington, NC. Had lots of fun! Even went on a Haunted Pub Crawl Saturday evening with a host that looked like Slash from Guns & Roses, even had the tall stovepipe black hat! Now I have to workout extra this week to shed those extra pounds gained...Kids also had fun being spoiled by the grandparents.

Of course, reality hit last night when DD3.5 woke up at midnight with that horrible barking seal cough, so I spent quality time with Rachel in a steaming bathroom for a little while, then watched lots of Disney movies today with her (even the old Pete's Dragon).

All that Summer Summer Summer chanting put the High School Musical 2 song in my head -- thanks a lot, like I really needed that! ;>)

Cornbread talk: I grew up on flat skillet cornbread, not the cake kind. Fried golden and crisp -- perfect for scooping up the mash potato and gravy remnants!
