Good Monday Morning... had a lovely Mother's Day. Allen and some of the other deacons cooked breakfast at church for the confirmation class, but everyone was invited... that was a nice way to start off Mother's Day, :woohoo: then early church and Sunday School. Then Allen and J and I went to my Mother's grave to put some flowers on it... we had such wind yesterday that we could not stay outside long at all. Wind blew at 30-40 mph all day yesterday. Plus it was cool (50* and cloudy). Then Mary and Allen took me and J and Mary's Mom and Auntie out to a new place here that is French, they had a Mother's Day Champagne Brunch, and the food was excellent. Came home and son #2 and his family came over with a gift bag of gardening stuff for me!!!! It was so windy and cold that no one could play in the yards yesterday... so cozied up in my lounge chair with Birds and Blooms and a blanket... ! :cloud9:

Allen's BD was a hoot, will try to get you a picture of him with his Parrot Head hat on!!!!! Mary managed to get him there with his "cruise music" :rockband: and the first thing on the I-Pod was the Magic's horn!!!! Then Jimmy Buffet took over and it was definitely smooth sailing from that point on!!!! :boat: It was all about Parrothead Pirates in Paradise! pirate: Parrots hanging from the ceiling, flamingo garlands on the tables, which were covered with beach towels, small white pails with sand in them with minature tiki torches in them (buckets had stickers on them with "Parrothead Pirates in Paradise") Paper plates and napkins with pink flamingos... Mary is a party planner like no other I know and loves surprise parties!!!!! party: The food was incredible and instead of a birthday cake... his favorite dessert is Bananna Pudding... so guess what!!!

HI Sandra!!! yes I'm feeling a bit better today:goodvibes no cough attacks yet LOL
you could try a couple to see how the strawberries turn out with the candy coating, but I'm guessing they will still be too mushy...
how are you feeling Sandra?

Hello everyone!

Gina and Kristin, glad you are home safe and sound! Seems like you had a great time! I am glad Alice was on the ball and played along with the girls!!! Can't wait to see the photos!!!

Allen....glad to hear you had a great birthday! Sounds like Mary is the planner of planners!!! We'll all have to get on the Wii together and compete! I think Steve kind of knows how to do that, but I'll have to check.

Nancy, get better soon!!!!! SOunds like maybe you might need a trip to the Doctor!?

Connor's birthday is Thursday, but we are going to celebrate tomorrow. We have no school as we are going to have our Primary Elections. Steve is also, still off from work, so it's a bunch of errands, a bit of shopping and out to eat! Connor said he'd like to go to Quaker Steak and Lube, but I have a coupon for a free appetizer at Logan's Steak House...we'll see! LOL

Time to get dinner out of the oven. We are actually having a Stouffer's frozen lasagna! The boys LOVE it. They say it tastes just like the lasagna at school ack! If I make it home made...yanno, with yummy ricotta and mozzerella?....they say it's gross and won't touch it! Oh well.....

See ya later!!!!

Hi ya, Michelle!

We love the Stouffers lasagna... of course I can't eat the beef one, but we do the chicken one and the vegetable one... they are yummy! My #2 DIL makes a mean lasagna and even they love the other Stouffers ones.

I may give that a try... Candy... is there anything special or just use the melting chocolate for the strawberries? Let me know if you have ever frozen any of the tuxedos after making them.

From browsing through the last fwe pages, sounds y'all had a great weekend. All I did was work:P
