We did! Allen has booked a jet ski at CC. I would love to do it too, but if I ever fell off the thing, I couldn't get back on from the water and I don't imagine they'll tote me to shore to get back on! It seems we're now stuck in Gatlinburg. The most direct interstate is closed due to a chemical spill, the alt. route is 4 hours out of the way and now it's got mutliple wrecks. Oh well, another day being a slug...... sounds like my regular day! :rotfl:

oh how terrible to be stuck and not do anything!! :lmao: :lmao:
what will you do at CC then?

Hey Piper, long time no see!!!

Howdy!

It has been a crazy 6 months for me. I started a new job that required a lot of travel and had a very steep learning curve. As DH will testify, it has really been a challenging six months. Having said that, I feel like I have settled into the job. When I don't travel I work from home, which is a wonderful benefit and saves a lot of $$$ on gas!

We are really looking forward to this cruise. Although we did WDW right after school was out, that was pretty much go-go-go. The cruise is true relaxation for me. Just me, my tropical drink, my chair on Deck 4 and my book! It was fun staying up to book Palo last night.

Me thinks I will partake of konk koolers and beach relaxation.  Last time we did the stingray adventure, it was a lot of fun, (especially it being right after the accident with Steve Irwin.) Allen's head was too big for the mask (what does that tell ya) and had a hard time while taking on water. I loved it, especially feeding them.

I see the stingray adventure involved snorkels. Do you have to snorkel when you do that one? Dd does not like snorkeling, but is interested in the stingrays.

Stuck in the Great Smokey Mountain paradise that is Gatlinburg......could be worse. Could be stuck in traffic. :drive: I think I'll go out on the balcony and watch it rain....:sad1:

Hey Nancy,,

Oh that is ok. I totally undetstand. Things are back to their "Nutty" selves around here. So not sure how much I'll be around in the next few days. Got some stuff going on with my parents. But I'll try to stay connected. Miss chatting with you!!!!!!!!!!!

You don't have to snorkel to do the stingray adventure. The snorkel part is after "the feeding". If you want to do the stingray adventure, do it early. The longer you wait, the more cloudy the water will be from being stirred up. I also have heard that the rays do tire of the attention, and will go hide after awhile.

Monday (at sea) Palo Brunch at 10:30 am :thumbsup2

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

It was not too comfy sleeping last night...woke up in a sweat at one point. UGH. I can not WAIT for our new heat pump!!!!

It's a rainy day today....and hopefully, a cold front will follow!!!

Congrats to everyone that made ressies last night! Still have to see about that today!

WELCOME HOME Kristin, Bruce, Hanna and Hope!!!! Can't wait to see some photos!!!

Allen and Mary, Enjoy the extra day in TN! A rainy day is a good day to hit the outlets again, or catch a show tonight! Have you been to The Comedy Barn. That's just good clean fun!! We even bought the video of the show, the boys love to watch it!

Not much going on today. I got the wash done yesterday, so I'll have to help the boys pack thier bags!

Colton is asking for sausage gravy and biscuits.....check back later!

We aren't much for the shows. I have seen a video of the show at the Comedy Barn. A friend I used to work with got on stage the day he was there with his church youth, and was being harassed un-mercifully and you should have seen the look on the guys face when he ask him what he did, and he said "I'm a Pastor". The people who worked there said it was the first time they had ever seen this guy speechless!! He just stopped and walked off the stage for a minute, then came back shaking his head like, what have I done, It was funny!
Unfortunately, we spent all our shopping money when we first got here. So no more shopping. Looks like we are slugging the rest of the day.

This is why they are called the Smokey Mountains...

Allen, surely there is something to do!! Your in Gatlinburg!! We have that same wet view into our backyard. We have already exceeded our normal rainfall for the month of June, July looks wet too!!

I made a Palo Ressie for Thursday at 8, and researved 2 floats at CC too. Since we have the tours planned outside of DCL, I don't have to worry about that! I guess we're good!!!!

okay, now I really need to feed my kids! LOL Disney obsession first, kids food second! LOL What's up with that?????

I think we are going up to the arts and crafts community for lunch and see what else we can find. Be back later!

HI EVERYONE! WERE BACK FROM CAPE COD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great place!!!! Loves Matha's Vineyard, Provinetown as well...... So many stories and pics.. Wont bore you all with pics but at some point I'll post some pics... Just finsihed unpacking and have to head to the airport for 4pm to pick cousins flying in from Scotland. They be here for just over two week. So our lives will continue on the crazy program.

But the most excting thing about today is we are going to make some of our DCL ressy's YEH!

When's everyone doing Palo for lunch and dinner. We also want to book some time slots for the nursery (which we have no clue on what time slots to pick, whether through dinner or show or adult bar time, tough call).

Hope you all have been well and enjoying your summer...... Unforetunately I haven't really read any of the past posts. So I'm sort of out of the loop.

Alex

good morning Gina!!
any plans for today?

Hey Nancy, I have to go to a bridal shower, thats about it for today. You?

Too funny.. .that's the same time as our Palo ressie! :)

So what are you feeding the kids? Sean is currently having chicken, cranberry juice, peaches, peas and beans. Oh.. I guess that is what he always has! LOL (I just love opening a can and giving him a complete meal without having to cook a thing!)

I think we are going up to the arts and crafts community for lunch and see what else we can find. Be back later!

Sounds like a plan. Sean really had no interest in anything like that (he is SUCH a boring date! LOL!). He DID enjoy going through a gem shop though that was across from our hotel. AND he has fond memories of Ripley's... he is SUCH a boy!
