Evening Kiddies:wave:

Sorry for dissappearing the past 2 nights(like anyone noticed:rotfl: ). The weather has been playing havoc with our internet connection. But all seems back to normal here now. We have had 5 days in a row of rain that included a shower this morning while i was at work. But I think we're done with that now. So I get to play tonight and for the weekend.

And I hope that htose of you who get to book are going to play on the thread and let those of us who don't in on your fun;)

Maureen, Of COURSE we missed you!! It's been quiet around here!!!

I must say, I might have to go to IHOP SEVERYAL times this month to eat pancakes! I just LOVE them! Although, I had forgot that when I got them last year, I told them to put the strawberry topping on the side. They just drown the cakes in the syrup and it almost covers the taste of the cheesecake!! I'll remember for next time!

Off to book Bernard!

Have fun booking Bernards Michele. I can promise you that at 10 pm tonight it'll no longer be quiet. Might be back earlier depending on if i feel like tv or not

Bernard is booked for St Maarten, Godfrey is booked for St Thomas. Just need to figure out if I want to book anything for Castaway Cay. Too bad you can't BOOK a hammock! LOL I think a few floats will be needed, not sure whatelse!

Hi Gina!! have fun at swimming lessons!
do the FE stuff take up alot of space? I got all mine too and I'm happy to see it doesn't take up too much room!!!!!

Yes, all together its quite bulky, no problem though, I will just have to put it all together on the ship easier that way.

sounds like people are getting excursions booked, makes it all so real, I am so excited!!!

Question for ya'll going on the Benard's tour.

My family is very leary of going to Orient Beach due to the nudity. My DD is very modest and DH is def not wanting to see "that" esp the FULL nudity and on fellow guys. :sad2: No offense if any of ya'll are wanting to jump in join the culture while on Orient Beach.

Bernard said if there was a contigency of several he'd drop off a group at a non nudist beach and take the remainder to Orient.

Had any of you guys thought of that and is anyone else preferring to go to an alternate?

hmm... booking a hammock sounds lovely... thought about a couples cabana massage too, but I kinda think that Sean wants us to come with him when he goes fishing, and Kaj wants us to watch him parasail (note that NEITHER Brian nor I have any interest in parasailing ourselves!!! EEKS!)

Everything is coming together so NICELY! On the way down we are going to take 2 days in Chattanooga for the aquarium, and I managed to get a room at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, IN one of their train cars! Surprise for the boys... :)

We have discussed this with the boys. They are 11 and 13. We have always been "open" with them about nudity....I don't run and hide if they walk in on me dressing and they still have no problem sitting and talking to me while I am on the toilet! :confused3 The lady I sit for nursed her baby for the first 6 months and she was not shy about it around my boys. I guess because they have "seen it all" there's no curiosity about seeing topless women. That said, I don't want to take a vacation to sit on the beach and see fully naked people. When I sent in my request for a ressie, I did add that we were a party of 4, 2 adults, 2 boys ages 11 and 13. I would think he would take this into concideration when determining what beach to take us to. I have also read that he tends to ask where the tourist want to go and will accomodate that! I think we'll be okay!!!!

I'm fine with the topless too. It is the full nudity that we are wanting to avoid. Here is a posts from his FAQ. We are going to ask to go to Le Galion aka Baby beach.

Q. If we are uncomfortable with the nudity at Orient Beach is there any alternative beach for us to swim at?
A. If you are touring with kids, I may be able to offer le Galion, nearby Orient, as an option.

At least he does offer alternatives. That's a good thing. the way I see it, it's 2 hours...that's really not a LONG time. The DCL time at Orient Beach is something like 5 hours. I figure by the time we get there, get settled and get something to eat, we'll probably have an hour or so to swim/play before having to dry off and get ready to meet up with Bernard again. time just goes way too fast when you are on vacation! LOL I think we'll be okay. Maybe we should have requested non-nudity beach under special requests??

Evening all!!!

We still have no idea what we want to do and I'm starting to panic. I do want to go to Maho, but not sure if I want to take an all day tour on both islands. I'm so confused!!!

Yea, you're right. It will all work out. I'm hoping he'll drop my family at Le Galion

see link...it looks awesome

But if he doesn't I'm sure Orient will still be a great stop. It is supposed to be gorgeous after all.

Oh that is BEAUTIFUL!!! Of course, I think all of the island is beautiful and as long as I am spending time with my family and friends, I will be content at any beach!

Hey all:wave:

Back to start my weekend of fun. So who's booked what?
Rich and I have not booked any tours, and I'm not sure we're going to. I can say we will definitely not be booking Bernards. We are not beach ppl and I don't feel like spending 2 hrs at the beach. We'll pretty much limit our beach time to CC I think.

Anybody ever reant a car at 1 of the islands? Or know how much it might cost? I might look into that.

Well it's finally official - this cruise is PAID IN FULL! Nothing like waiting until the last few days!

We even finally bought our plane tickets.

Arriving at 3:05pm into MCO on October 8th.
