I'm with you on the "light snacking" track. That's about the only thing I'm glad about going back to school in two weeks..... the schedule...no time for snacking.

back to school already??????? you don't get 2 months off????

Nope, I got out the Friday before Memorial Day and teachers go back July 21st for the whole week and kids start the 28th. It's a 9/2 schedule. 2 weeks in Oct, Dec, and March. I hate going back this early, but I love my October time.

What part of the Valley are you in?

We are way out on the west side. Shawn has to commute to Scottsdale for work - I feel bad for him every day, but I wouldn't trade. I only have to drive five minutes .

We are as far south as can be without being on the res (Southwest Chandler) I understand the hatred commute. Mike has to drive to Deer Valley every day, about an hour. When my 20 minute drive to Mesa is driving me nuts, I just think that he is still in the car and laugh!!!

I have a love-hate relationship with this, as our breaks don't always coincide, but it is kind of nice to have some time to myself when the kids are in school. I seem to get so much more done!!!!

I never feel like I have any of that planning time as paid time. We go back on the first, and students go back on the fourth, and our first day back after any break is the students' first day back. I never seem to get any planning time involved unless it is my "break". I don't know how it is for you guys, but that is the worst part of every "break" for us!!!!!

The internet was down here last night. We went to Grand Floridian for dinner to Narcosee's!!!!!! YUM!!!!!!!! Off to have breakfast there this morning now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We've got a planning time built into our schedule on Fridays, but you're right, there's not enough time to get it all planned out, especially for the whole semester. I'm just getting by one week at a time, but I'm dealing with K-4 with Title I and just reading. But don't try to talk to me at the beginning and the end of the school year. My DH can tell you..... it's brutal!

Everyone is still asleep but me!! Been up since 8, had my breakfast and read the Sunday paper. Now I am thinking my garage needs reorganized. It's a mess....We've done too many drop and runs and there is stuff that needs to go to GoodWill...just not sure that they are open to take stuff in today. Might have to call over and see!

Ugh. I feel bad for anyone who has to drive more than 5 minutes to go to work. I also only drive 5 minutes and don't really see any point in changing that.

Ok, feel bad for me then, I got a LOT longer than that!!!! 7-12 times longer depending on traffic.

The big problem is girls have to plan this out. For us guys, we can shop at Walmart and in 10 minutes have a perfect black suit, white shirt and red tie. I've pulled that one off...
