we have an ice cream truck that comes around on Thursdays, usually about 5pm...go figure. But everytime he comes, it seems the kids want the snocone! This will save me some money! AND they can have one EVERYDAY if they want! I look forward to making some adult drinks too!!!!

That's a great way to save money, and make em happy. I re3member when Jack&Jill used to come to our house. We weren't allowed to have it all the time.

Sorry to hear you didn't win the house or any of the other prizes at the St. Jude's drawing Michele. Our local drawing was a in May I think, maybe it was April. We never buy a ticket. 100 bucks is a bit steep for a raffle ticket. But I'll tell you something I'll bet you didn't know.

When you buy stuff out of the healthcare aisle at Target, toothpaste, vitamins and stuff. All the profit goes to Target House at St. Jude's. Patients' families stay there for free. Our version of the Ronald McDonald house.

I did NOT know this!!! This is very cool! I am glad to know that and just might buy more of my stuff there!

Its in Delaware, a bit above the Border with Maryland. Its a great little beach that I've been going to since I was little. Nice boardwalk, rides for the kiddies. Really pretty place. I'll post pics when I come back.

Sounds great....We love pics. I worked in Frederick Maryland for a while years ago.....except I lived in a hotel and al I knew was may way to the office.

Evening all!

Just started watching The Bucket List. It looked really good in the movies, but never got to see it. I have been looking for it in the stores for the last week and it's always been sold out. FINALLY got it today!

I also got a Hamilton Beach Icy Treats machine! Makes snowcones and slushies! (and adult beverages too!)

I got it at Target!!!! We have about 5 different flavors of syrup and then got 4 colorful plastic margarita cups to serve the "drinks" in. The boys just think they are hot stuff with those! LOL

Sandra, thanks fof the compliments on the boys photos! I took the 3 and made 5x7 prints. I picked a white frame to put all 3 and then found some scrapbooking stickers and put them on the mat...not a lot, but just enough to add a little something to it! I just need to figure out WHERE to hang it!!
I'm looking for something to make frozen Konk Koolers next weekend....wonder if that would work?????

don't worry Maureen.....we're brainwashing you next!!!!!!! :stir:
:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

That is a really good idea

Yeah, the store really does not make a big promo out of it. Usually around Thanksgiving the past couple of years we have put signs up in the stores to go with Marlo Thomas's usual campaign. But it goes on all year round. They expanded the house a couple of years ago, and its big enough right now to house all the families who come to the hospital. :cool1:

It might! the top shreds the ice, while in the bottom dish, you add the liquid and it has a paddle that turns to blend as the ice comes down. It's not big though. Target also had a "generic" Margartiaville Blender. It was under $100. I guess it depends on A) How much drink do you want to make at any given time and B) How often are you going to use it? Here it is....it's listed on the Target site as $100, but I really think it was less then that in the store.

the margarita glasses were on clearance already...just 48 cents each! It was cheaper then buying those disposable paper ones!!!

They aren't on clearance here yet, but there aren't many left as it is. I oughta know, I put out 3 boxes of the suckers on Saturday.

Since returning from our vacation a couple of days after Memorial Day, we have been trying to score a Wii Fit.

FINALLY - success. We were able to grab one at our new Toys R Us. Got there 10 minutes before store opening and we were 20th in line. They only had 25.

Now we have to actually use it!

I'll be at Targert store on friday in Rochester....do you think they will have any left?

The Icy Treats Machine is AWESOME!! Just add the ice, turn the lid and watch it fall into the cup! I think even the kids could use it unsupervised!!!
