Hott Tubb Kidd - Chapter 3
Well, Alan and Jamie, the kids, and the in-laws get off the ship and Jamie thinks, "Well that's ok, lesson learned." But not Alan. He decides that since he paid for the beeper that he should have the beeper. So he begins calling DCL until he gets someone who can help him.

Lo and behold, soon after they get back to TN, the beeper arrives in the mail. And guess what. It worked!

Alan decided to let it go at that point and keep it as his souvenir of the trip.

Hott Tubb Kidd - Chapter 2
Well, as you can guess, the beeper did not work on the last day of the cruise (or so the CM said), so they lost a couple hundred dollars. Which turned out to be OK because Uncle Chris won Jackpot Bingo and handed Alan $200 out of his winnings. Jamie has wonderful in-laws!

his chest was really red when it happened so I bet he's going to have a bruise on it......I'll see tomorrow...I put ice on it right away when it happened so maybe that helped a little. Poor little guy, he was in tears!!!!!!!

Yeah,, thanks for asking I'm having an allergic reaction to the sunscreen it had something called PAVA in it and apparently my skin does not like it...I'm on Predisone for seven days and two benadryl every 6 hours till the itching stops. I look like I have about 100 mosquito bites all over me...LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That December, some friends were embarking on a DCL cruise, and went to register their kids for the clubs. As the mom was signing the papers, she was cautioned by the CM to be careful with the beeper, as one time a man got in a hot tub with his on his waistband and ended up having to pay for it. Well, the friend burst into laughter and proceeded to tell the CM that she knew that man - Alan.

It's a small, small world.

And that is how Alan earned the pirate name Hott Tubb Kidd.
