Yea there is less traffic on the toll roads...although not terribly empty. 95 (the free road) has more truckers and cars in general but not too bad...West Palm will be the worst but after that it gets much better....You will always know when you reach West Palm Beach.Traffic almost comes to a complete stop or gets WAY MORE crowded but it only lasts for a little bit and then you will be on your way with considerably less traffic or disturbances :goodvibes

Hey guys! We are in our hotel in Columbia, SC. For those of you heading this way, don't wait too late to stop to get a hotel if you don't have reservations. We decided at 7:30 to stop because we were both very tired. We just now got into a room. We stopped at three exits before we could find a hotel with a room available and we went to every hotel we could find at each exit. We are at a Wingate Inn. I have never stayed at one of these hotels, but it's really nice. We paid $135.00 which I thought was great considering this is the only hotel in three straight exits with available rooms and if they told to truth, they had less than ten left after we got ours.
I asked if something big was going on in the area causing the hotels to fill on a Tuesday night. The lady at the desk down stairs said that it's not unusually for the hotels along all these exist to fill because of the number of people traveling 26E.

Anyway, the trip has been great. Good weather and traffic isn't bad. I hope it's going well for everyone else who is traveling.

It isnt a holiday so it shouldnt be too bad..It may be a TINY bit more than what we experienced but it shouldnt be horribly bad...Now if it was a holiday weekend :eek:
