I have had 4 pairs of Birks. I love them, but I have always been afraid to wear them to the park though! Silly, I know. I said this past summer that I needed a new pair and I didn't get them. I WILL get them before we go in June. I'll have to keep my eye on QVC. They have some good prices and sometimes a Today's Special Value on them.

Birks are the best shoes in the world for wearing in the parks or any time when walking a lot.. ok, that is what I wear almost always! LOL... did you see that black pair I wore with my formal on the cruise? I even have a couple of pair that are closed toes for winter wear... feet used to hurt all the time, since going with almost always birks, they don't hurt anymore.

Famous footwear has them sometimes... if you keep an eye out for their buy one get one half off sale you can sometimes get a good deal on them there too.

These are my favorites, and they are rarely ever priced less than this, but I wear them for 5-6 years then get them resoled and they are good as new! They are not pretty, but they are soooooooooooooo comfy...

Those are comfy... I am kind of partial to this kind myself.

Pretty, and comfy. They seem to hold pretty well too. I dont personally notice the difference with the soft footbed, but then since birks are pretty much all I have worn for the last 10-15 yrs maybe my feet are broken in? LOL!

QVC has a double and a triple strap in the soft footbed. They are both priced the same at $114. and $6.97 S&H. I'll have to stop at our Birkenstock Store and see what they have and at how much. I had stopped in at the Birk "outlet" store at Myrtle. They were just as high as anywhere else I had seen! No deals there!! I guess that's why I never got a pair, then the summer just zoomed by!

PARKS QUESTION!

Has anyone ever done an Illuminations cruise? Are they worth it? I thought it might be something different for us to do. When I first looked at it, the thread said it was like $150. Not bad, then the next thread I looked at said $300 plus! I can't do that! LOL I guess I will look into sharing a cruise with another family if we decide to do this. BUT, is it worth it? Is it fun?

Did anyone here get an email from Disney Destinations with a pin number? I guess there are 3 offers....a child 3-9 stays, plays and dines for free with a paying adult, free dining or a $500 gift card with booking. All of these also say, with a 5night/5day value resort stay.

I actually figured it out and the 4/3 deal is a better bargain.

Just curious!

I vaguely recall getting email from Diney Destinations sometime last week. But i really didn't pay much attention to it since we just got off the cruise:rotfl:

GAIL! I know you already got Merkie her Uggs, but I saw this today. Don't know if you can use it and return the others?? HTH!

We did a cruise once also. We enjoyed it, and split with with some other DIS'ers (when it was $150 for up to 10 people). Would I pay $300 for it though? No way. If you could split it I would.

HI everyone!!!!!!!!
boy is it chilly here tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Kristin and Erika! I will just look to share a cruise and hope it goes without a hitch. I have read a few threads where people back out or don't show. I would never do that, but some people just don't care. One family showed up for the cruise and waited almost an hour for the other family. The CM pulled the ressie and said it had been cancelled the day before! No phone call to say they weren't coming, an offer for them to pay for the cruise themselves, nothing. Just left them hanging. She tried called the cell number she was given and the woman wouldn't answer. It's so sad when people do that. If I do this, I would like it to be a surprise for the boys!

Oh how sad! We didn't do that cruise, but we did share a fishing trip last year, and THAT was a lot of fun. Sean had a ball, caught a slew of fish and really enjoyed himself tremendously. For us, worth it.
