Have any of you used the motion sickness patch? I have them for both of us, cost me $90, but I am so afraid to use them. I hear so many stories about the blurred vision and feeling sick after the cruise. It also says not to drink with it on (but meclizine says that too, and I have). I have a feeling we'll have to adjust to the land after the cruise regardless, but I am still so worried about wearing them, but I'm also getting really worried about being sick.

I picked up my patches yesterday... 32.50 (four patches) at CVS... just for me... Hubby goes to a different PCP. He has to get his own. I've used them before on the last cruise.. no problems... after the 2nd day and the water was soooooooooooo smooth, I did not use them any longer... I've also had them when having surgery and never had problems with them. I just hope the water is not too rough... oh... you can drink with them... but just don't go overboard... opps... sorry no pun intended!:rotfl:

I'm wearing black too...LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL .........see!!!!!!!!!! told you I would of stuck out too much if I had kept the other dress!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

I took Ginger and meclizine on our sailboat ride last year, didn't do a darn thing! I'm sure there was more rocking on that sailboat than cruising, but still. I'm really starting to worry about this issue more, I need to stop!!! Alexa has sea bands, but she doesn't like them, cuz they are uncomfortable.

oh gosh Erika!!!!!!!!!! you poor thing.....try not to stress out too much

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Too funny!!! Thanks you guys for making me feel better!!! Anyone else use them?

What do you guys do when you first board, you go straight up to eat and then to the pool? Do you explore the boat? Do you know when I can make an appt. at the salon? Do you unpack before the drill if your stuff is there? Sorry for so many questions, but we are getting so close, and this is our first time and we are clueless.

:rotfl: I will make sure I run from the table first! If I don't show up at dinner you know why. I wish dd didn't get sick, cuz I spend so much time worrying about her it just makes it hard to relax.

I'll try to remember to not sit too close to you at dinner!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl:

This is our second cruise... we headed straight for topsiders ... and some of the kidlets did the pool. We just visited and then checked out our cabin.. and our luggage was there, so did some unpacking and then got ready for the fire/boat drill. Basicly did what ever Allen told us to that first day or so... but it was fun! We knew so many on the cruise... 'cause so many folks go from here.

I'll just go with the flow.....or is that the waves???? :lmao:
I think once you first board you go eat.......then the pool and at 1:30 we get to go see our rooms.......all luggage should be there by 4pm if not sooner
I haven't been on a cruise yet, but these are things I have heard!!

I'm just going to follow Allen around and do what he does...

It's really up to you. Being your first time, you might want to look around some and get your bearings. You really won't learn the ship until about time to get off. But you will be ready next time!!!! We have become so familiar with the ship, we kept going the wrong way to places on the Princess ship we were on in March!! You will be lucky, if your bags get to your room before safety drill!! Get a Welcome Aboard Navigator, find out where to go, and go make your appointments immediately!! We will try to claim a spot by the pool and get something to eat at Topsiders....or maybe some pizza and a beverage!!

Are you allowed to get a drink out of your carry on cooler or is that a nono?

Go for it! I know you don't do "cold", but what ever you do, don't put ice in the cooler!!! It does something to the xray machine!!!

Not a chance, we can conform quite easily. They don't want ice or loose water in them, we won't put any in. I really don't care if my beer is warm or cold. We might be too busy with the kids to even sit down to have a drink anyways LOL
