Hey Everyone!!

Sorry I have been out for a little bit. I took a long nap with Chris because now I have an earache...but mine is no where near as bad as Heidi's (poor thing...sending you some of these to get better :goodvibes :goodvibes ) Mine is because I went swimming while at the Poly and Chris was begging for me to go underwater...so I did (I do know better since my ears are HORRIBLE with infections when they get water in them) but I wanted to please Chris so I did...now I am paying for it with ear aches :sad2:

Thanks everyone for the kind words about the FE, It was my first OFFICIAL try at one. I did one with glue only and it was ok but nothing to be proud of from me...but this one I do like. I havent started on the second one but Im thinking of postponing it for a little bit because I head home tomorrow...

Talk about home...SOME BAD NEWS from Mike...Our roof in our bedroom fell in!!! :scared1: It had been hanging for a little bit and we told the landlord and everyone and then he had us call the roofer yesterday...guess what the stupid roofer said???!?!? "Sleep in another room!!!" ARG!!! WE are beyond ticked at him! But we have someone coming over to patch it up when we get back tomorrow (well when I get home) so Its such a lovely thing to get to come home to! Thankfully Mike put down a tarp over the carpet early this morning because he said that he thought it was going to fall in today. He is a smart guy and thankfully he did that. But what a pain!!

Gina- I love that cake!! I am making just a simple plain chocolate cake tonight...just got it out of the oven...Chris helped me and while we were mixing it, he asked me "Mom is this going to be a Kachow cake?" LOL he calls Lightining McQueen from CARS movie "Kachow" since that is what Lightning says all of the time  I told him NOPE honey, this is just going to be a plain ol chocolate cake this time :lovestruc He was ok with that.

Im watching the thing on the history channel now about 9-11. :sad1: Boy that was scary day...Its sad to watch but its a great reminder of why we have the security measures that we do today.

Interesting day today.

I was approached with a job offer from the USAF. I currently work as a independent contracted Psychologist for them.

When I left the USAF six years ago, my rank was an 04 (or Major). If I accept this position, they would take in account the years I have been on contract and I would go back in at an 05 (or Lieutenant Colonel). There would be a pay cut, but I would finally have benefits again - free at that - including prescriptions! Shawn could cancel our coverage at his employment, so it would almost break even. Additionally, they will count my six years of active duty served and I could retire with Government benefits in just 14 years. Pretty awesome right?! Also, the offer is written that I would not have to EVER deploy - as this is a Public Health position.

I am torn though, back to the Military uniform is not my favorite thing. It does have a couple things to think about. Guess I will spend the weekend making a decision.

sounds like a great opportunity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! goodluck in your descision!!!!!

Yeah, those govt. benefits are nothing to sneeze at. That's for sure. I wish you lots of luck on your decision. Did they give you a deadline to reply?

OMG what morons. "Sleep in another room"

Well, I suppose it is good news that you are not returning from the cruise to find your roof caved in.

Kristin...That makes me so happy to know that they LOVED the postcards :lovestruc  That really does make me feel so much better :goodvibes

Im glad that I can make others happy...that is what truly makes me happy :thumbsup2

Yea I imagine it wouldnt have been anything nice to wake up to...the roof falling in. Thankfully where it fell, there was nothing there to worry about it messing up...It was in a spot where nothing was below it

Well, gotta go, I am so tired and I need to be up early to pack for the weekend. Chat with you all on Sunday, have a great weekend!!!!

goodnight Gina!!!!!!!! and have fun!!!

Sadly we are NOT leaving next week as previously planned... saw my doc today, and though the one ear is starting to look a little bit better, the OTHER ear is starting to get infected, despite being on levaquin for nearly a week! Still can't hear out of the right ear, going on 2 weeks now...

Going to see the ENT next week instead of leaving on our trip. I sure hope this is an easy fix... losing an ear (so to speak!) is not pleasant, and the buzzing in it is making me NUTSO!!!

Still PLANNING on making the cruise, but are re-working our visits with our friends in Ohio and INdiana. Right now the friend in Indiana is having their own medical crisis... 8 yr old daughter is in club med (aka cinci children's hospital) since Sunday in major pain, and may be having her gall bladder and intestine removed soon... so we probably wouldn't be staying with them anyway.

I am just so tired physically and emotionally right now... honestly, the thought of driving across the country is getting to me, and flying is even worse! Need to get this ear thing figured out soon...

Have a good night all... going to BED. My doc gave me some ambien so hopefully I can get a little SLEEP tonight. Been having some trouble sleeping lately and could really USE some...
Hope you feel better soon...

Been a little under the weather the last couple of days. I left work before lunch today to come home and rest. Thought it was my sinuses, but none of my sinus meds were working. Guess it's a summer cold. If it's no better tomorrow, I'm going to the doctor.

Sounds like a good problem to have!!

Have you guys ever seen a TV commercial for DVC?
Saw it just a few minutes ago. They seem to be pushing the 'Adventures By Disney' trips. They did show the ship for a few seconds and just briefly spoke of the parks.....:confused3
