Hey everyone, The twins are hav'in a friend over for a few hours to swim.. See ya ll later on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well guys, it's time to leave to pick up Merkie from school. My secretary just called to see if she needed to run by to pick up any of the work I did?!?! for the mail today. I HAVE DONE NONE!!!!! I could tell in her voice that she really wishes that this cruise would come and go, so she can get me back to work.

You guys have a great evening. Merkie and I will go to the Sportsplex to walk and then I guess I'll get something done.

PAC (Performing Arts Camp) was amazing! I could not believe how WELL the kids did. They took about 170 kids from 8th through 12th grade, most of whom did not know each other before camp, and in 2 weeks they had a show that could easily have been shown in ... San Francisco or Los Angeles.

They used 28 different musicals, taking parts of them and put them together to tell the story of the history of the world... from the Children of Eden, Pippen, Camelot, Spamalot, 1776, Paint your Wagon, Evita, Wicked, and more... amazing!

Anyway... it was a great trip, and I am looking forward to more in the future!

Wow Heidi!!! It sounds like you had a wonderful time!!!!!! It all sounds amazing!!

Hmm Thanks everyone...Im trying to decide on what to do. Its not an easy choice is it??? :scared:

I have been to all of the ALL STARS hotels...while I do not mind them, sometimes it is harder to get the stroller and chris all together by myself  And I hate to be that person that is holding up the line, so I rush to get the stroller folded and put away before the bus comes. Then I worry about the bus being crowded with standing room only...Thats hard enough just me, but with Chris and a stroller all at once...that might be more than I myself could handle :confused3 Not saying that it isnt impossible to do :rolleyes1

The only benefit from staying at the more expensive POLY is the monorail..not having to fold the stroller and deal with that for 2 theme parks (MK and Epcot) I know its still there as a problem for AK and MGM (sorry I mean DHS) but we honestly do not go to AK that much and DHS would only go for Toy Story Mania.

I would normally go for the cheaper hotel as well...and the only reason that I am even considering NOT is the Monorail ;)

I dont usually buy a lot of souveneers because as you all probably know...we go to Disney a lot, so it isnt necessary. I do however like to get Chris little things (he loves the monorail trains) and the CARS and such. But I MIGHT be able to get some extra money by doing some extra work :confused3

I forgot who asked...but we will more than likely fly up there...45 minute flight. And then have to take use of the Magical Express Bus. Still not 100 percent set in stone but more than likely that will be the outcome:thumbsup2

You can't put a value on having to deal with little ones and the convenience of the monorail. No unfolding strollers to get on the bus, just wheel right on. And the monorails run more frequently, so if you have to go back to the hotel in the middle of the day. I still remember those days and if it was me, I would go with the Poly. Technically, the problem is only with AK. You can take the monorail to EPCOT and then coordinate your day so that you can take the boat from EPCOT to MGM.

Thank you so much. I do think that I am going to do the Poly for our resort and go after labor day :thumbsup2 I didnt know about the boat from Epcot to DHS...Where do I catch that at? Is it only during certain times of the day or does it run like the busses? I really like that Idea::yes::

Am I correct to add that isnt Ohana at the Poly? Does anyone have any reference as to what this is. My son might enjoy this as his aunt LOVES Stitch and because of that he is always wanting a picture with him or to see him :goodvibes

How is everyone doing today?? I am sorry to be on a mindset of trying to decide what to do. I just know that IF we do that in September that I only really have a couple of weeks left before we leave :rolleyes1 I didnt mean to Ignore anyone else

I know how that goes! LOL... we leave 3 weeks from this morning and I have SO MUCH to do before then! The shirts arrived, so I can print and do my iron ons, my FE gifts are almost all done, but I have packing, ordering from my home care to plan, hotels to figure out between here and Ohio, still some shopping to do for clothes (for ME!!!! the KIDS are DONE!)

added to that we have a cat who persists in vomiting every few days... she is old, and we really don't want to go overboard with pricey labwork, tests, etc, but we also don't want to give up too soon either... and it is awfully gross to hear her retching under my BED!!!

sigh.... LIFE!!!!

Have a lovely time planning your trip!

Hello Everyone!!

they boys had a great day at school. thankfully! LOL

Shauna, I would go with a value resort and RENT a stroller at the park! Then you will save some money, renting a stroller is not near as much as staying at the Poly! ALTHOUGH, the Poly is AWESOME!

Okay, we are running behind. The boy's bus was nearly 30 mins late today. Football is 30 mins early now! 6-8 instead of 630 -830, staying until 9 sometimes. Now they turn off the lights at 8...strick rules, but I love it. That's a good thing. Looks like rain too! Oh well....

I have photos to share, but I'll have to upload them later tonight!

Have fun!

Pinky girl; No I did not put the gazebo together---heck I can screw up any mechanical issue beyond recognition. There is a mennonite buisness (Leland Industries) located over the southwest that errects these gazebos, kids house, cottages etc. they bring in all the pieces and put it together unless you have unrestricted acess to your property and they they bring it in one pice and set it up. we only have a 5' gate so they had to play jigsaw puzzle and put it all together.

correction to above "they then bring it in" and piece not pice. sorry bout that

ah well, if you would of said you built it I would of flown you here and ask you if you could build me one too!!! :rotfl:

Shauna,,

I have stayed at both with the twins. A monorail resort and a non-monorail resort. When the twins were only a year and a half we stayed at the Dolphin for a conference for Bruce's work. I took the kids by myself on the busses and folded up the stroller, etc. it was not too bad actually... Just an FYI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don,, Please can you build me the gazebo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or at least get the men to come make me one...!;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Off to a PTA meeting see ya all later on tonight.. I hope!!!!

lets see if this works

Nice Gazebo!!!

It should be pretty easy unless Pirate Allen is on..............he's quite the sneaky one!!!!!!:lmao: :lmao:
He's has swooped in and stole the big numbers from us numerous times!!!! LOL
:teeth:.....:tiptoe: pirate:.....:rolleyes1

This is an issue for us to. The negative to staying at the value resorts for me. Merkie still has strength and balance issues. I believe I have already shared about her medical problems and her surgery. Anyway, we always just wait for the next bus if it's full because Merkie can't stand on a moving bus.

How is everyone doing? We are going to do homework. I'll check back in later.

Bill Dana is on the History Channel now. It is an episode of Modern Marvels about Edwards Air Force Base.

Gail- Yea it makes it hard to pick the Value resorts (although that is where we stay 99 percent of the time that we go) I dont mind staying there one bit If I have help with Chris, but its a challenge in itself for me to go alone, and I do suffer from Anxiety issues. I am often surprised that I can go and do this by myself.:goodvibes Im not saying that I am ever anxiety free though...It takes all I have just to be able to go up to the desk to check in, Thankfully the Disney Cast members are so nice and sweet  But to have to stand on the bus with Chris and a stroller, or make anyone upset by avoiding a bus all together, Might push me a bit too far on the anxiety scale :scared: I know that I could do it IF I pushed, but I sorta want to enjoy the vacation and with one less thing to worry about...Might just be what it takes to have me give up some shopping money ;)

Allen- We love watching "Modern Marvels"...That one and "How its made"...hubby loves all those shows on there..."Day of Destruction" and "Ice Road Truckers"...:thumbsup2
