We both cheered for both teams, but we'd never let her principal, teachers and friends know that. I'm not joking. Basketball is taken very seriously here, even at this level. If they knew that we secretly didn't care who won the game, they would not be pleased with either of us.

She is a smart little cookie. We've always had a deal. We both have a job. Mine is to work, pay the bills and buy all the things she wants. Her job is to go to school and get good grades. When she stops or slacks on her job, I get to stop or slack on mine. So if she wants me to work and pay for Disney cruises, she has bring home good grades. It's always worked for us.

I know how that is...Honestly I do. About not letting anyone know that you are voting for both teams to win. I went to a school like that. But the vocational tech school that I went to had kids from the rival school as well with us...so us at Vo-Tech would do things and be friends with those from the Rival schools and we were frowned upon at our own school if they found out...It was sad really

Sounds like a GREAT deal you two have worked out there...You have both lucked out with each other

I'm wondering if anyone remembers the site where a lady was making door signs for people. I think Michelle got her to do the "tagged, you're it" door sign. She had this really cool one with a parrot on it, but it had another family name on it and I wanted a blank one. Does anyone remember who and where this was????

Thank you! I know I'm very lucky to have her. I know it sounds corny, but we really are friends and mother-daughter, I think it comes from the fact that her father and I separated before her first birthday and it's always just been the two of us.

I too understand what you are saying about have friends at different schools. Besides Stacy, I have friends and people that I work with with kids in every school in the county. Like I said we live in a small town, everyone knows everyone. I think that is one reason that the rivalries between the schools are so strong. When you lose, you know that you are going to have to deal with some of the parents from the other school at work, or at church, or somewhere.
