I forgot to mention....
The Football Kick Off Classic is a day where ALL the teams in the league come together, everyone gets weighed and birth certificates are verified. It will be held on Sunday. Every year it's at a different location, usually one of the teams will host it at their school. This means over crowded parking lots and stands. Well, this year they are having it at Laidley Field. It's the field that is used by the University of Charleston, Special Olympics. Cheerleading and an annual marching band festival. It is actually owned by the Kanawha County School System. Needless to say, when Connor found this out, he about died. He said, Mom? What school is Laidley Field at? I said, It's not at a school. He said, Then where is it? I said, Yanno when we drive into Charleston, and you can see the Capitol Building? It's that BIG football field just before we get there. LOL His eyes about popped out of his head! and then he said, WE ARE PLAYING THERE?!?!?! LOL then he went on about it being astro-turf and how big the stadium is. I just laughed. Here is a photo I found of it online. It is pretty big!!

no kidding!!!!!!!!! we live 5 minutes away from the airport here but it wont do us any good come cruise time since we are flying out of Detroit!!!!!!! which is 2 hours away!!!!!!

I think he is going to LOVE being out on that big field! After that, playing at the middle school fields will feel like slumming it! LOL As much as I complain about football, he is LOVING IT!!!! I'll just grin and bear it!

I ended up finding 2 tops at Cato. I went with the intention of getting pants/slacks/shorts. I do that everytime! I just hate buying bottoms though. I am a plus petite, so it's hard to find things that fit right! I think I'll go to Macy's this weekend....when I take Connor's football socks back to Dick's! I just got them last week? And the toe is blown out in them already!!!

I wore jeans to the football field last night and was comfy. It's odd weather for this time of year, but I'll take it! I would love to live where it was in the 70-80's year round!! we have had nearly no humidity, which makes it nice too!

that is the problem I have. All the tops look like maternity tops when I put them on! what might hit you at the waist/hips, hits me below, so it looks like I am pregnant. they are all flouncy and loose. I don't want skin tight either, just something that looks like it fits! It's very frusterating. That is why I end up in jean shorts and tshirts 90% of the time. Of course, with watching the babies, I really don't NEED to be dressed in anything BUT jeans and tshirts. they don't care and it's comfy for being on the floor all day! I am stuck in the "Mommy Rut" lately. Jeans, T's and a ponytail. I plan on fixing all that next week while I am off though...new clothes and a haircut too!

We're back from my neighbor/chiropractor. He took us to the office and did a quick xray. It's not broken, thankfully! He really seemed to think it was necessary, so we went over to the office. He thinks it is just a bad sprain and to keep it wrapped for the next week or so. I knew he had taken a sports medicine course, and come to find out, he has been helping all the local college football teams!

Soooo, what's shaken here tonight?

Just one more day of work and I'm on vacation!!! Too bad I'm not going any where! LOL Actually, she said she would be home by Noon tomorrow, so only a half day! YEAH!

Allen, the tweeked design is great. I might have to think about how I want to do the shirts!

Kristin, do you suppose we could get the kids a game card to QuarterMasters? Is there a minimum? and then for the adults....I wish there was a way to get a gift card...then they could use it on a drink or a meal or in the gift shop or something? Or maybe we could find something in the shop for the adults? I am thinking something in the $10 range? I would be willing to front the money for this if no one else can. I think it's a great idea! What fun! Is this an "eat as many as you can in X amount of time" or is it "one bar and whoever finishes first wins"?

I have a roast in the oven and I think I am going to run to Cato's to see what they have. My friend said she got capris for $10 the other day! Maybe I might get lucky! I have never bothered to shop there, but several people have found good deals and nice clothes!

we could do it for men's...woman's .....and kids split into 2 age groups? like older kids together and the little ones together??
