October 10, 2015 - Disney Fantasy 7 Night Eastern Caribbean

Almost there...hoping Hurricane Joaquin doesn't mess up the cruise!! We live in Chesapeake VA, right near the coast.

I have made most of my FE gifts too, now I have to dig up the FE holder I used for the last cruise.

Heather, did you see the PM I sent you about sitting together for dinner a while ago?
Nadine, thanks for all your work on the list!

And don't forget, we have a meet and greet at 2pm at the Mickey pool on the 10th, before the safety muster! I made name tags!

This new alcohol policy is no fun. I had thought about getting the small bottles of rum and vodka; glad I didn't!

I have to admit, I think I missed the PM, or at least don't know how to get to it....

We are all set with our FE's too. Now on to packing! We have some "little somethings" for the latecomers FE Pixie List. I'm glad that there seems to be quite a few on the second list so that they can exchange with each other too! We are flying out on Thursday and spending a few nights at Beach Club. Then driving to the port on Saturday...Can't wait to meet everyone at the Mickey Pool meet n greet!

Just checking, we don't leave tips in the MDRs for breakfast and lunch? I wasn't sure last time, so I think I did, because I wasn't seated in my team's area.

Nice! We are right down the hall in 8170. Marylanders taking over the 8th floor!
Oh cool!

We are definitely excited here. Might be more excited if our washer and dryer had not bit the bullet this weekend so we are now gonna have an issue
getting some laundry done that we need to pack. Looks like we may be doing more laundry on the ship than planned!

Our FE gifts are 90% done, working on a few extras for them now. Stocked up on some snacks and bottled water this week. I'm mostly packed, I think one kid has packed but not the other two. I think my husband is mostly packed. We'll definitely be busy every day this weekend finishing up. I'll get the kids out of school around noon on Friday and then we'll hit the road, with destination of Jacksonville for the night, leaving a pretty short drive for us the next morning, plenty of time to arrive to port before noon.

We haven't packed clothes yet, but we have got all the costumes together (Pirate Night and Masquerade Night), all the electronics ready and the toiletries packed. Normally we head down to WDW two nights before the cruise, but we don't have the opportunity to do so this time around. Due to airline prices, we don't leave Baltimore until Saturday morning (and that makes us super nervous). We are on the first flight out to Orlando, and we have Disney transports lined up from there. Our port arrival time is 11:15, and we should be there well before that. Can't wait to get there and hit the pool for some much needed R&R.

We did not get on the list for FE on this cruise...just too much going on with potty training, moving into new house, etc. Hopefully your room gets filled up with some goodies! The countdown is on!

Final countdown is ON! Getting so excited. :)
Is there a FINAL FINAL FE list ready? I want to print a couple of copies for packing fun. Hopefully, I'll have some extras to "fairy dust" the latecomers.

Haven't seen a meet thread for this cruise yet, so thought I would start one. This will be our third cruise on the Fantasy and really looking forward to a week of relaxing at Satellite Falls! :thumbsup2

I'm a newbie to Disney Cruising, and just received a fish extender from our Disney travel agent, along with our cruise documents. I did a little research and I thick my kids (6 year old daughter especially!) would like to participate. Is it too late to find a group? Is there another place I should look? Everyone here seems so well informed, I would love any feedback!

Very Best,
Rita

Oh I am so glad you clarified!! I was about to die of shame because I thought I missed you guys on the list!! I hope you can still join us for the meet up!

Hi Rita! Disney Cruising has a pretty steep learning curve for sure. Most people have already planned, completed and packed the FE stuff BUT don't let that deter you! Take a look at the list and try to get me the information ASAP. I will add you to our Pixie Dust list since many people use the extras they end up to spread around for a little extra magic. Ask away about anything you have questions on.

Walters family looking to join but nit sure of rules? 2 adults, 2 boys 6 and 18 mos. can we join? Do we get an assigned family or do you share with all?

I could have sworn I replied! Can we get some more info from you? I am so sorry, I think I forgot to hit Post Reply!! If you can take a look at a prior list and give me whatever info you can that would be great, otherwise at least a cabin number would be great for Pixie dusting!

I am not sure, the one time we ate at the MDR for a brunch-ish meal we did not have our regular waitstaff... I think you could if you were feeling generous but I don't think most people do it... I am not sure who would get it honestly. I wish I could be more help!

About 4 days to go for our family. We plan to arrive Friday around noon, with some plans on property for Friday afternoon and evening before our trip to the port on Saturday morning.

Does anyone know what nights will be Formal, Semi-Formal, etc. on our cruise? It's getting so close! My bed is covered with clothes to pack! Just taking a break to check the forum.

AND here it is!! Please let me know if you need anything updated!! :) I will post a final Wednesday with the cabins sorted if people would like that... or did someone say they made a map? :)

Great job! I'm a bit worried about our still remaining VGT cabin. We are also considering looking into upgrades at port. If that happens, we will just put a note in everybody's FE letting you know our new room assignment. It's probably NOT going to change, but the kids were asking about it. If you don't see magnets on our door and our FE out, then I assume you'll know we moved!

I mentioned a "MAP" but not really a great one. I took one of the diagrams I found online of all the decks, but when I put all the decks on one page you CANNOT see the room numbers in the printed version. So I had to check room numbers, then look at my printed copy and guess the approximate location based on comparing the two diagrams since I could zoom in on room numbers using the online version. Does that make sense? I can make a copy of it and put it here if anybody is interested, but mostly I just put little dots of approximate room number locations to make it easier for us to do our deliveries, and by "US" I mean my kids since they are looking forward to doing it. Well all of them BUT the teenager of course. Ah the joy of teenagers! :scared: :sad2:
