Oct - value resorts on expedia, but not wdw

I'm not sure....I assumed not.

You get all the perks of staying on site including magic bands as soon as you link your reservation to your MDE. If you aren't seeing the room on Disney's site there isn't any reason you shouldn't book the room you want through Expedia.

i've noticed something odd with the disney site when you search for rooms, if a room isn't available for both non-discounted and promotional rate, it will often show up as sold out on the search page. But if you click though on your desired resort (even if it shows no availability), you can ofter find non-discounted rooms or packages are available.
