Hi All! Here I am, up at 2:30 am, and decided this would be a safe place to vent. First of all, I am feeling very happy to be me lately, but I am getting vicariously depressed. In the past 2 weeks 1 friend has been diagnosed with breast cancer, another friend discovered at 12 weeks along that her fetus suddenly had no heartbeat, and my cousin (who I am very close to) got dumped by her boyfriend of two years after they moved in together in July. Now my FIL is here overnight as an unexpected houseguest after minor surgery. So even though my life is great, I am feeling emotionally exhausted and just wanted to get it out there. Thanks for being a safe place to unload and sorry that it's kind of a downer. I keep coming to DIS because it is my happy place and I thank all of you for that.

Can't wait to hear about all the upcoming cruises. MAkes me even more excited for our first one. Good night.

Sorry to hear things are emotionally rough for you right now.
With us it seems to go in cycles with that kind of stuff. The only good thing is , in time it will get better.
Your cousin will get over him and realise it was better to break up now instead of after she was married and had kids. She will find someone who loves her again and she will be a bit more cautious before committting to a relationship. In the long run I'm sure it will be for the best. At my age I ahve seen that happen many times with it always working out for the best in the long run.

Hopefully your friends breast cancer will be curable. Many are now days,s o give her all the emotional support you can. I had a different kind of cancer and the support of everyone around you really makes a world of difference.
It is scary and hard to hear but that doesnt mean she wont come through this just fine with good friends to help her through. My SIL just went through that. She is ok now and i'm sure your friend will be too.


Just keep positive thought so you dont get in a funk. All those you care about will need you to be strong and possitive attitude for them.
Your bananahead family is always here for you to vent. Thats the great thing about these threads, we do become like a family and friends by cruise time.

It will get better, I promise!!

Morning all,

cold here this morning, in the 40's. The furnace even came on last night a few times. Fall is finally here.

I will be watching to see if Mutt and Woo post again this week or if Mutt will be back in the dog house and Woo along with him.
Poor Duesey and Coki will have to sleep in the bed while their parents take over their dog houses for awhile.

Sleepy Princess, sorry to hear your having a rough time....it will get better.

The sun is out today, but its getting colder. Only 38 degree this morning.

Not much going on today. I called and canceled my board meeting this morning because I still can't get rid of this cough and chest congestion. The Doc. switched me over to a different antibiotic today, so we'll see how this one does.

Another beautiful day here. Yesterday we were 80 and today around 76....alto tomorrow we are heading for cooler temps.....around the mid 60's thru the weekend.

It hasnt really warmed up much today, mid 50's now which is better than 40's but I think their forecast for 70 is stretching it a bit for today

It also have wait times for all the restaurants and a copy of the Cruise Compass, you can pick an activity and it will also give you directions. It's pretty high tech.

Well it sounds really good. Even on the Magic I would start going the wrong way.....I knew where I wanted to go then would turn in the wrong direction crazy.....so I'm sure I will totally get lost on this ship.

Omg, this school thing is so early! I have had a month's vacation since DH has been home and getting up with DD so I could sleep in... Today he's sick so I had to be up with DD and I forgot how early it was! On a lighter note, we went and got the kids' passports last night at the school. They were doing a workshop so we took advantage of it instead of pulling DD out of school for a day to get it done. The passport agent lady said that they are normally taking about 2 and a half weeks to get back to people and I can't wait! One more thing I can check off my list of to do's!

Morning all,

Morgan good to see you here so early today. I remember the days of getting up early for school. UGH!!! Glad I am past all of that. Although it wa snice once all 4 of the kids were in school so i had a little time to actually get things done and it would stay clean until they got home.


Well down to 40 this morning but suppose to nice later but it usually only gets warm for a couple of hours late afternoon then cools right off again.
Guess fall is really here.


Today is laundry day so I have started it early today. 6:30 a.m. I had the first load going.
