Evening all:

I know that I havent been around much. Last week it was so busy with Heather and Izzy here, things have settled down now and trying to get back to "normal" life.

Nothing much is going on here....we had some really bad thunderstorms last night and early this morning. It pretty much knocked down all my pepper plants....but hopefully they will recover.

Going to post a few pic's of Izzy from her visit here:

Morning all,

Denise those are so precious!!!:lovestruc
Did you get a picture of Izzy with those glasses on? That would be a cute photo too.:goodvibes She is sure growing isnt she.

I asked my DD for more photos of MaryAnn so she sent me a photo of the back of her bald head:confused3 She thought it was cute and it is but I want the face too. Crazy DD :lmao:

Welll it got to 96 yeaterday here, way too hot for me. Going to be hotter today.Had a great visit with my mom.
The dogs did well at the sitters even with the other dogs. They only snarreled twice at them so they would leave them alone but didnt snap at them.
2 of the other dogs were actually horses in dog costumes. Well they looked like they were anyways.:lmao: One was an Irish Wolfhound , the other a Mastiff:scared1: Then a couple of small dogs but just as I was arriving to pick mine up someone came and left a Chauahua ( not spelled right?) and I told Greg those BIG horses probably were thinking, Oh boy someone ordered Mexican food for dinner. The hordeurves have arrived!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

We also visited Gregs mom, then back home about 7 last night. I am still tired today but have one load of work clothes to washa nd a few groceries to get.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Kathy

QUESTION OF THE DAY

What do you think will be the coolest part of the new ship to do?
Just thinking of what we know so far about it.

I say The AquaDuck:woohoo::woohoo:

Morning all:

Kathy, that is too funny about the dogs......actually you would think of my Jack the same way..he's a horse also.....120 lb Doberman......but he's my little horse...lol:laughing:
Well you still need to post the picture of MaryAnn's head....it is funny, but she should have included more pic's of her also.

Ok for your question of the day!!!! I'm thinking the Aquaduck also....but I am also content to just lie on the deck, in the sun and get burned....that's my Ahha moment!!

Oh, I was trying to caputre Izzy with my glasses on, however, she pulled them off so fast, my camera never could capture it.....

later

Aquaduck for sure but I'm hoping someone gets an inside room so I can see the virtual pothole.

Christine, If all goes well and we get to go we will have an inside room and your welcome to come and see the porthole show :goodvibes

I say we have a room sharing time where we can go see all the varieties of rooms we have. I am sure we will have one of every kind of room by cruise time, we could maybe ask others if they are willing to let others see their room.

Set up a day and time that people can go see all the room. Others do this and call it a room crawl. Usually lasts around an hour.
Those who host their rooms can take turns while their spouse goes through the rooms, comes back and the other person can go through rooms. That way everyone will get to see the new rooms who wants to.

we could ask Shell to put a sign up on the cruisemates list for this. I bet a lot of people would love to see the other rooms. I know I would!!

cooler today, only 90 then down to mid 80's the rest of the week :woohoo:

Hope everyone had a good weekend,

Kathy

ANYBODY GOT A QUESTION FOR TODAY???

I'm here....

Had a last minute camping trip this last weekend. DH was on the phone with one of the guys he works with and casually said camping and I just jumped into action and decided we were going camping. :scared1: Sent DH to plate and register our pop up and called my sis and found out they were at a campground already, but it was tent camping only so when DH got back, he told me that we didn't have the proper light harness for the pop up and I told him it didn't matter, we were tent camping! Well, we packed up in an hour and were on the road. :thumbsup2 We made it to the campground about dark, threw our tent up and set up our stuff real quick and were impressed to find that we left nothing at home!:woohoo: We were rather proud of ourselves! :cool1: We came home after only one night though cause DH had to work yesterday, but my DSis and BIL stayed and got rained on. DSis said it was the worst rain she'd ever camped in. Everyone had a great time though and DH and I decided we are going to take the pop up the last weekend in August now. :woohoo:

Anyway, to answer both of Kathy's QoD, I've never been on a Disney ship so I'm just jazzed to see anything on the ship! Also, on the Carnival cruise we went on last year, no one had a meet, so I'm jazzed to meet all the crazy nana heads too!   I would have to agree that I think either the aquaduck or the pirate party and sailaway parties will be the best part for us. :goodvibes

We are getting an ocean view for MIL and our kids and DH and I will have our own room:eek: and this mommy is going for the veranda! I would love to see every kind of room though! Especially those interactive portholes. I can't say what my MIL will say about a room crawl, but count me in! DH doesn't count, he has no choice in the matter. :rotfl:

Beautiful weather here today, sunny and not so humid. Still no word from camp Kathy. Only 3 more weeks until DD goes back to school...:teacher: This year will be much harder on mommy because she will go all day and be a big first grader... Last year she only went 3 hours in the afternoon so it wasn't much like sending her to school. I'm kind of excited and scared at the same time, I keep telling DH that she is still my baby! He just doesn't get it. I think it will be super hard on DS as well since he hasn't been away from his sister for more than a few hours to a couple of days since he was born. I think August will be an interesting month with birthdays and preparing for school and starting school, is it cruise time yet?!:lmao:

Hope everyone is having a great Monday!:goodvibes (sorry for such a long post!)

M,

I use to feel the same way about my oldest when she started 1st grade. But I found it gave me more one on one with #2 child which was nice for us.We really got close then.
Of course I had #3 on the way then too, so my time would soon be limited for the kids with having a baby to care for.
Aftet the 2nd one started school I was glad he was gone all day so I only had 2 kids to chase all day.
My anxiety got bad when they graduated high school!!:scared1::scared1: That happened so fast. Enjoy while you can:goodvibes

Glad you got to go camping even if it was just for a night. I love to camp. We had a pop up tent trailer for many years when my back would no longer take an air mattress. It was great, if it rained we could sit inside and play games and not worry about it. ;)

Kathy

A cabin crawl would be great, as long as it's followed by a bar crawl :teeth:

:thumbsup2

Kathy I'm in for that.....

Let's just say with the amount of booze we bring on the ship a cabin crawl is a bar crawl:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Well I have to say, I have never expierenced it myself, but have heard numerous stories about all the "booze" so I guess I would have to agree with you Christine!!:thumbsup2:goodvibes

Well I am soooooo glad that today is over....the day from hell at work....so I am going in an hour early tomorrow morning just to get caught up on my work and clear all my voicemail messages.....I didnt even touch that today.:scared1:

Have a good one all

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Let's just say the guy at the metal detectors told Wendy and I we had the heaviest luggage of the day...and we didn't even have the blenders in ours:rolleyes1

I volunteer to be the official photographer of the booze crawl:thumbsup2

Since I dont drink, I can get all the evidence for blackmail as usual:lmao:

I do have some great photos of past crusies too:rolleyes1

Kathy

What photos?? How about if I be the official photographer on the trip. No one else will have to lug those heavy cameras around and I'll document EVERYTHING. Whadaya say???? :rolleyes1

You must be afraid I will get some good photos like the last 2 cruises huh?:rolleyes1 Don't you trust your mom?? You know how sweet I am:love:

Looks like another rivalry for crazy or embarassing photos again between us ;)

You know me I never leave my cabin without my camera, even at dinner:goodvibes

You best tell Pablo and his dad that Jimmy is on the war path this time, so no guarantees about photos. He is a wild man with the camera, worse than me:eek:

Kathy

Happy tuesday all,

we are actually down to 52 this morning. Feels like fall outside which is so nice after all the hot weather. But it will hit 90 again today then down to mid 80's for a few days. YEAH!!! I like that so much better than 100.

No plans to do anything today, just bum around a bit.

Hope everyone is having a great week.:thumbsup2

I'll check back later,

Kathy

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

I wanna know how you guys do that! I thought they checked everything?! DH would be beyond happy if he could take some Captain Morgan on the ship! And blenders?! You all are my kinda people!:lmao:

Hi Morgan,

you've picked the right cruisers to learn all about that.
I know Christine, Shell, Wendy, Cheri, and Mutt are all great at bringing stuff on board:thumbsup2

DCL is one of the few Cruise lines that will allow some alcohol to be brought on board. They have signs up forbidding it but they never seem to stop anyone?
