Other than my last post.....nothing else is really going on here....I only have 5 more days to work then I'm on vacation!!!!!

Hi all,

Denise I wish we could have about 6 inches of your snow here so the dogs could have it to play in. They love the snow.
All I had today was 5 hours of 55 degrees and no rain. The rest of the day was dumping rain and it still is.
Just keep chanting Vacation in 5 days! Vacation in 5 days!!

glad to hear your arm is feeling better. You might just have to not be as active on this next cruise. You can still have a great time.


I made a chocolate cake today, actually only 2 layer cut in half and stacked to look like a 2 layer cake. A whole 2 layer is way too much cake for us to eat.

Yeah, I sorta figured I wouldn't be doing any zip lining this trip. I do plan on scuba diving and snorkeling in Grand Cayman, so I hope I'm at least healed up enough for that.

I hope I can at least carry my own luggage, but if not I guess I can always pay one of those luggage valet people to haul it for me.

If that chocolate cake is to much for you to eat....I know someone that would eat it.

Well if you can be here before dessert tomorrow night there might be a piece or two left. It is really decadent and rich. I only make this one 2 or 3 times a year because even though it is sugar free it is high in calories.
I use whipping cream in it, eggs and oil. It is rich!!!

Suppose to be clearing off later today and stay fairly dry the rest of the week. I hope they are right. 7 dry days?? I would love that. I can get some exercise for my dogs before they turn into Shamoos!!

Anybody get more snow like they predicted? or is it too soon for the storm to hit yet?

Not much happening here right now. We do have a hiker who fell into the crater of Mt St. Helens . They couldnt get to him yesterday so I am hoping they get him off the mountain today.

While I feel bad for everyone getting snow, I have to say I am truely enjoying this El Nino year. We had the most beautiful weekend and the rest of this week is going to be amazing too. We actually had to put the AC on in this car. I am sure we will pay for this weather in the summer when it's 120 for 2 months but that's why god made air conditioning.

Kathy - we didn't get as much as they predicted (thank God) only about 3 or 4 inches but truly one more flake is too much for me. And if you look at the 14 day forecast, I think there are at least snow flurries in EVERY day.

Yeah, other then California and parts of the west coast, I think the western US has had excellent weather this year.

Our kids have done more skiing this year then they've ever done before. The days and nights have been very mild making it perfect winter activity weather.

It's to bad Vancouver can't stay cold enough to keep their snow.

Kathy doesn't like the rain, but its got to be better then getting snow? Just think how green everything will be in Oregon come spring.

Of course when all the snow melts at Jeff's house....he'll need a boat!

Well Christine glad your having some good weather.....now if you can do me a huge favor and bottle it and send it this way please.....I could use a least a day or two of 40 or 50 degree weather.....

Nothing much going on here.....just a normal busy day...trying to book my airfare for colorado in April....they are having a "sale" and the tickets will cost me a whopping 10.00 less than I paid for my upcoming trip next week.....but since I have a connecting flight they always charge more.....so its actually a good price.

While I better get back to work....

Morning all,

Jeff, glad to hear it wasnt as much s**w as predicted.

Its true the west is having a much warmer, more mild winter than normal. We are averaging 10 degrees above normal so far. Today 63 to 65 is predicted and dry. So it should be another nice day.

I do hate the rain but Greg is right Oregon is a very green state. Beautiful mountains and coast lines, due to the rain. But on the average when we have a mild winter the next year is an exceptionally bad one. Something to look forward to I guess

Hey Greg another OSU player was arrested at 3 a.m. today for domestic abuse. I think those guys have all gone nusts aftet the season ended.
I think he was the running back that took Blounts place?? Cant remember the name right now.

Denise, good luck with airfares. Now they are selling blankets with blow up pillows for $7 to $10 depending on the airlines. Cheap skates!!!

I don't have a classification for Greg yet


Jeff they changed out warm temps too. We were in the 30's last night and may hit 50 if we are lucky. I know thats a lot warmer than you but they did down grade our temps by 10 degrees the last 24 hours.

We are foggy and damp this morning, kinda blah out.

Nothing else going on here.

Denise, hope the hip and leg are better today!
Greg i assume your improving too. Stitches should be coming out in a few days now.

Afternoon Nana's!

Christine, I can feel your heat from here!

It's a B.E.A.U.-tiful day here in Idaho!

Not a cloud in the sky, the sun is shinning and I've opened up both sets of French doors in the back of the house and have the ceiling fans going to keep the house cooled down!

All our big windows face south, so when the sun is out it doesn't take long to heat up the house!

It's nice to get some fresh air circulating through the house again.

Kathy, arm is feeling better today. I get the stitches taken out on Monday...gonna need to break into the pain killers for that I'm sure.

We have sun too this afternoon and being its so small in an RV and so many windows it heats up in here really fast too.
So I also have windows open and ceiling vents too. Nice to air it out and get rid of musty doggie smells.


Greg, as long as the stitches are truly ready to come out, it shouldnt be painful. Just a quick little tug and BINGO its out!! Just dont look at what the doctor is doing and it will be much better.


They are actually trying to mow the lawn here. it might be nice but the grass is soaked and it keep clogging the mower blades. DUMMIES!! Oh well, better them than me.
