May I be the first here to say "Winter sucks!" We're getting a steady stream of white. It should make for an interesting commute in the morning.

I'm curious...how do we get through the fact that we're about 1 yr 10 months out from our trip.

Answer: plan another trip! I'm thinkin Mexico, Playa Del Carmen maybe.... anyone been to any of those resort? Any one better than the other?

Not been to Playa del Carmen but have been to Cancun a couple of times. I think I agree with Greg that I'd take Aruba over Mexico though it's a longer flight. In the Caribbean I think our favorite might be St. John with Grand Cayman a close second and Aruba right behind those. However, Cancun DOES have beautiful water, great beaches, relatively cheap prices and it's relatively Americanized - which is both good and bad. People aren't all that friendly but the beer is cold and the water warm.

Oh and I don't think we will be on this sailing but I wan to follow the adventures of the Nanaheads for sure.

Evening all, I havnt been to Cancun or Aruba but have been to St. Johns several times and the beaches there are awesome and very peaceful!!

Jeff its great to see you here too. This is a good way for everyone to stay in touch and hopefully several will get to cruise too.

Tink that is great you will be having several people coming along.

If things go right I will see my new grandbaby on saturday so will have pictures to post on sunday. They came home today.

Mutt, no snow here, just wet, cold, miserable rain. Guess thats better than snow although the pups love the snow

We're in the same boat....won't be going on this cruise, but want to stay in touch with the Nana's!

I had booked the 3 day portion of this cruise, but canceled it last month.

After having a "Pow Wow" with the family it sounds like we'll doing Alaska and Fiji in 2011.

nasty rain all weekend here which is probably a lot better than what most of you have right now. So much snow and nasty below freezing temps out there right now.

Nothing much happening here right now. Pixie jumed and landed wrong and hurt her front leg last night. She seems to be better this morning. She is still limping but not nearly as much.

trying to convience my daughter, I really want to bring my grandaughter along. I will be with my daughter in february for a few days.....gonna start the brainwashing to make her come along

The only trips that I have planned so far this year to to colorado....too bad they have similar weather. Not to fond of flying in the winter, but I need to see that baby...so february and april are my 2 trips that I know for sure that I am going on.

Well gotta go....I really am not supposed to be on this, they monitor us....cuz were in kindergarten here!!

Denise, are you going to Colorado in both Feb. & April?

I've been trouble shooting my network printer all afternoon. It seems the kid's new computer doesn't want to play nice with my network because it has Windows 7 and all the other computers in the house have Vista.

I finally downloaded a patch from Dell for my color laser printer and now everything seems to be online again.

yep, going to colorado in feb and april......february cuz I need a baby fix and april, as it will be her first birthday. Where the heck did that time go? Last year at this time I was having her baby shower.

Kathy....I went to the disney store on line and you should see the cutiest outfit I bought Izzy for her first birthday.
a little pink princess dress with matching princess shoes, then I got her a white baby fur shrug with a pink bow.....it is soooo adoreable. I will get pictures when she wears it and post them....but keep in mind it wont be until apirl. It arrived the other day and I brought it to work to show the girls. They couldnt belive how cute it was, especially the fur shrug.

nothing else going on here...just going to do some cleaning tonite.....
tomorrow nite, going to my "holiday" party from work. So I'm looking forward to that.

ok, I just headed over to the other 2011 cruise and seen that Kathy and Greg are only going to be posting here.....so I guess so will I.....

Kathy, I'm not doing the b2b I'm just doing the 10-30 four day cruise.
So if you do the 3 day, I guess we wont be cruising together.

We are still on the fence about this cruise, but IF we go it will be a 3 day.
Our problem is we would really like to see all the parks, including Universal and Sea World all decked out for Christmas and these cruises are too early for that and we cant take the time to go to Florida twice that close together.

If this was a month later it would have worked out perfect for us. But if we go maybe we will see you when you head to OIA to fly back and we are arriving?? There is always a chance we could bump into each other
If we did the parks 2nd and cruise first.

Right now who knows what will happen in 2011. I will keep an open mind to all possibilities.

Pixie is doing better tonight. Earlier she tried to run and it didnt work too well. Then her leg kinda buckled under her and she was limping bad again.
But tonight she seems to have recovered from that too.

Afternoon all:


Just took my carrot cake out of the oven.....smells really good.

Going to chill for awhile then frost my cake and get ready for my party tonite.

I have a "dog" story......

My crazy dog Jack, for some reason, love to go in the bathrooms and eat tissue in the garbage can.....he has been doing this for years....
last nite about 1am in a dead sleep I hear Jack barking....so when I start to wake up, I first thought that I was dreaming....then I thought he was dreaming and barking in his sleep.....Wrong!!!!
He had gotten up, came downstairs to the family room bathroom to dig thru the garbage. Well when you walk in the bathroom, the door closes by itself not sure why, but it does...so the idiot dog, gets locked into the bathroom. Who know's how long he was down there locked in...but he was barking because he wanted out and back up to bed....plus he left a mess of half chewed up tissues on the floor....he is such a nut....

Just got back from spending all day visiting and driving, mostly driving.
Had a good visit with my mom then went to see Maryann for the first time.

Thankyou Melissa, it's been almost 11 years since i have held such a tiny baby. We wernt living here when her brother was born so never got to hold him as a baby. He is 8. Nikka is almost 11, she was the last one I held.

Now I am waiting for my oldest grandaughter to get married (shes engaged) and make me a great grandma No hurry for that one!! I am not that old yet, or at least I wont admit to it

How sweet. It has been a long time since I've held a little one too, mine are 15, and am hopeful it will still be many more years before I get to. Enjoy, that's very exciting!
