We will be at Universal, staying on-site during HHN, but will not be attending. I booked the cheap air-fare from PIT first, thinking it would slow time, but obviuously didn't realize how big this HHN is. Does anyone else go to the parks during this time, stay on-site, but not go? We will arrive Friday afternoon. Will IOA be open till 7pm? Then, on Sat the 20th, we will be at US at opening. When will we see the crowds???

We were there the same dates last October. US will close at 5pm each day of the HHN. IOA stays open until 6 I believe. Your day at US you will start to see the crowd around 3-4pm for those doing the stay and scream. You should be able to do everything you want to do if you get there at opening.

We haven't gone to HHN and also have stayed onsite, the FOTL will make the rides much easier to access!

Have fun!!

You will start to see the crowds later on in the afternoon, 3 or 4, because many people will be taking advantage of the stay and scream tickets, which allow you to stay in the parks after closing, but before HHN starts. Earlier in the day, you will likely see normal/average crowds.

No, no HHN for me. I am traveling with my 9 year old son. Just the 2 of us. I know this is not something he could handle.
