Everyone has OCD, whether it be full blown or tiny occurrences.
What are you OCD about?

---------

I'm very OCD about my school work. Everything needs to be perfect before I hand it in. If my books aren't straight on my desk, I will stop what I'm doing and fix it. I even have an order for how I pile my books. Folders, notebooks, planner. That's all from top to bottom. Everything needs to be aligned to the left so my pencils can go on the right.

And black sneakers. I refuse to wear black sneakers that don't have white on them. IDK why, but black sneakers annoy me to no end. My sneakers must always be white. I will go into OCD overdrive to make sure my sneakers are white.

The only thing I'm OCD about is when people clothes tags are sticking out.
I have to around asking them to tuck them in. x]
It annoys my friends to no end.. :goodvibes

i have this thing where i before i staple papers together they have to be PERFECTLYY lined up especially in the left corner (where is staple it ALWAYS) and the staple has to be close to the top of the page, it cant be close to the words or far down on the page.

M&M's have to be in color order and all "M" side up before i eat them:confused3

I'm OCD about germs. If I touch a door handle I have to wash my hands afterwards. I try my best to use my shirt sleeve or a towel to open doors after going to the bathroom.

It's mostly just people germs. Animals don't gross me out even though I know they are germier. Mud doesn't gross me out because it's just mud. I just don't like thinking of the things people do and where they put their hands without washing them.

Mine don't interfere with my life thankfully. And they're just weird.

With m&ms or skittles, I have to eat the red and orange together. I have to eat the green and yellow skittles together. Purple ones are by themselves. With m&ms, the blue, yellow, and green must be eaten together. Brown is by themselves. If I have 2 red skittles and 3 orange ones, I eat both red ones and both orange ones and throw the other orange away. I have to let brown m&ms melt in my mouth.

Things must be straight and even. Like on a hoodie, the string that hangs down from the hood has to have the same amount of string hanging out of both sides.

If possible, I like to get things on number 11. The volume on the radio, I stop browsing bumper stickers and flair at page 11, etc. If 11 just isnt a good number for whatever I'm doing, I have to stop at an even number.

When I eat a twix bar, I have to eat the cookie part first and then eat the caramel.

When I take a shower, I have to wash my face first, then my hair, then my body, the condition my hair, and then shave. And I have to shave my right leg first.

I have to wear socks when I sleep.

I think thats all I have....

Grades. If I get less than a 95 on something, I feel like a total failure.

Neatness. Making sure things line up correctly. Like in class, I sit next to the window and before I sit down I have to make sure all the blinds are straight. Also, in Sociology class, the chalk eraser is really old and full of chalk dust. So whenever my teacher erases, it makes these big streaks. I have this uncontrollable urge to either clean the entire board (ie no chalk dust), or spread the chalk dust in a perfect square. I seriously can't even listen to the lecture because I'm too focused on the chalkboard.

Groups. If we're put into groups at school, I normally become the leader. I don't trust other people to get it done, and I never agree with their ideas on how to get it done. I'm in a group right now, and my head is going to explode because everything is so disorganized.

What I eat. I refuse to eat something that I'm not in the mood for. Why waste all those calories on something you don't even want?

Basically, I'm a control freak. I have to control every aspect of my life, or I feel helpless and crazy.

i'm like that too....except with the twix i eat the caramel first and then the cookie

and with skittles i always eat the yellow and green together but red and orange are always by themselves. i hate purple...

School - depending on the subject, all of my homework gets typed up. I'm pretty anal about physics, because my physics teacher is pretty anal, and I know what it's like to be thrown off, so I try not to do that with him.

Bedtime routine - If I don't stick to it, I don't fall asleep. You sleep over, you learn my rules. I sleep over your house, I'm going to implicate as much as I can without bothering your routine.

Volume - On TV's, radios, etc. It has to go by variables of five or I freak out.

My AIM buddy list has to be in alphabetical order by screen name.

My bedsheets have to be exactly straight, along with my pillows. I will mess up my bed, and start all over until they are exactly straight.

I can only eat green, and yellow skittles.. for some reason since I was little, the other colors gross me out.

My white Etnies, I refuse to let dirt get on them, I dont put them on until I'm in the car, and I'm watching my feet everywhere I step.

If I walk into the kitchen and open the cabinet to get a cup or something out, and I see that the cups are not in a straight line.. I will take everyone of them out, and start putting the back one by one, making sure they are perfectly straight.

When I eat nutty bars, I pull every piece apart, and eat them all separately. its just better like that ;)

Thought of another one. The use of "your" and "you're." I usually correct people, although I try not to on here.

I'm OCD in the shower too. I wash my hair first and I have to rinse it out for at least 3 minutes or all the shampoo doesn't feel like it came out. I actually have a little timer called Timey that is shaped like an egg and I turn it over when I'm ready to rinse.

I also wear socks when I sleep. I put vaseline on them because they feel too dry if I don't have it on them.

Sorry, this is one of my biggest pet peeves.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is just that. A disorder.
While it's fairly common as far as psychological disorders go (as many as 1 in every 50 American adults has it) not EVERYONE has it.

Actual OCD is severe.
Just because sometimes you display similar symptoms doesn't mean you have the disorder.
Needing to have a certain bedtime routine or only eating certain colored Skittles are basically just personality quirks, driven in by repetative rituals.

It just really irks me when people say "Ahh, I'm so ADD today." Or, "My OCD is kicking up," when they don't have any psychological disorder.
Disorders are the exception, not the rule.

Alphabetizing!

DVD's are in ABC order. Sequels go in sequential order (Spy Kids 1, Spy Kids 2, etc).

C.D.'s go in order of artist, then disk. Disney Mania, DM 2, DM 3, etc. Or in order of release date (Don't You Fake it before Lonely Road).

Broadway C.D.'s are ABC by show.

Looking in my closet before going to bed. I always think someone has snuck in there while I was away and it creeps me out. Even if I get up while watching TV to use the bathroom, when I come back in my room I check the closet again.

And I have to crawl into bed on the left side if your looking at it from the end.

We know that. Or at least I do, but I'm assuming others know that too.

Shall we say, "What are your Similar-To-OCD tendencies?"

ha i'm kind of like that with my DVDs except they are arranged from most to least depressing/serious :confused3

I know that. But everyone has OCD tendencies, whether they are barely noticeable or full blown, diagnosed OCD. Having OCD tendencies and having OCD are not the same thing.

Example:
OCD tendencies - the only thing that bothers me is straightening out my curtains.
OCD - I need to check my curtains at least 5 times in a row before I go to sleep to make sure there is nothing there.
