We are a family of 5 - will be forced to go to a 2 bedroom or can we book a 1 bedroom? When we travel using standard hotel rooms, we always get 1 room with 2 double beds and make out just fine so we would like to avoid the extra expense of a 2 bedroom

You just don't tell them about 5th person. You only have a problem if you want to do EMH you wont have the 5th room key. I have done this in the past with no problem thay dont have people checking to see how may people are slepping in your room.

Some of the AKV studios can sleep up to 5 so maybe the one bedroom can too. Also you didn't say how old the people are in the room. I think if they are under 3 they will let you put a crib in. I am having that dilemma for the airport hotel. Want to stay near airport otherwise will have to leave home at 3:30 am. But the hotel only allows 4. Thought about just going into the room in 2 groups.

Sorry, that's lying. DVC currently allows a fifth person under the age of five in a one bedroom, but all literature states four in a studio or one bedroom, except for select one bedrooms at AKV that sleep five.

Discussions of occupancy are a hot topic here on the DVC boards, and they are limited to this thread only: DVC Occupancy Thread
