I guess I just don't pay close enough attention to issues that I think will never affect my vacations!
In the next day or so I need to book a room at either Kidani or BLT for late April. There will be 3 adults and one 5 year old, so a 1 bedroom could work BUT we will have 2 adults and one 2 year old visiting us for one day (not overnight). If I want the visitors to be able to use the pool I need to worry about occupancy allowances for a 1 bedroom at BLT and Kidani, correct? Is it 5 people plus one under 3? In that case we will be one person over for the visitor day. I hate to book a 2 bedroom for our whole stay and I don't want to move to a 2 bedroom for one day. Or maybe one of us just doesn't join the pool group on visitor day. Jeez. My brain is tired.

The 1-bedrooms at BLT and AKV-Kidani Village are 5 plus 1 under the age of three.

So you'll have 5 adults, 5 year old, 2 year old? That sounds like 6 plus one under 3. I tried it on the online system - 5 adults, 5 year old and got this message: The room type selected cannot accommodate your travel party. Please make another selection. 5 adults and 1 infant would work.

That is how I had it figured. I could splurge on points for a 2 bedroom for 3 adults and the 5 year old (the other 2 adults and 2 year old will only be visiting for an afternoon). But if it rains and they don't end up using the pool then I will not feel happy about having spent the extra 100+ points for a 2 bedroom just so we could all use the pool one afternoon. OTOH, you only go around once in life...

I wouldn't splurge on extra points just so that they can use the pool in the afternoon. They may not even check keys for everyone, especially for the 5 year old.

don't think they check keys at BLT - since to get in the pool you need a key.

that said might actually prefer CR for the adults - now the kids won't like it as much. but it has more room and it's pool is alot deeper.
