We made reservations for July 13th for the OC Beach Bus Tour w/Anaheim411 website..paid online. I had emailed with few questions and they did respond but haven't received any vouchers or any details about pickup at CCI. So when should I expect more details or vouchers? We are first timer visitors to the area.

How long ago did you book? We booked two tours (the beach tour and the LA/Warner Bros combi) and it took a few days before we received our vouchers which give details of when and where you will be picked up (we are also staying at CCI) so don't worry if you've only just booked.

I waited for 10 days after my reservation to send an e-mail again. I did receive a response after I posted the comment. So we haven't been forgotten.:)

We have returned from trip and wanted to post a comment about our experience with OC Beach Bus Tour. It was a highlight of our trip. We received an vouchers via e-mail a week before our trip. We printed them and took them with us. Tom. the bus driver collected the vouchers from everyone on the bus tour. If your family has a free day away from the parks and you are looking for something easy away from high energy theme parks, this is it. Tom picks up each family at their hotel around 8:30 am. Makes three different stops: Huntington Beach, New Port Beach and Laguna Beach. Some stops are longer than others but we had no complaints except I didn't want to return to Pittsburgh after seeing these gorgeous beach towns. Before everyone gets off the bus he tells everyone to notice the bus stop area and what time to be back and gives some helpful tips on some favorite stores, snacks, small dining options, and best beach spots to relax and take pictures. When we return to DL this tour will be on our schedule:drive::)

Thank you for reporting back! May I ask which stop you liked the best and what you did there?

We only stopped at Huntington Beach for 30 minutes because it was still early. That beach had construction for that XGames type sports coming up so we moved on to Newport Beach and Laguna Beach. Loved both beaches! At Newport Beach we took a 45 minute Harbor Cruise( we got a discount because we were on the OC Beach Bus Tour) and then had lunch at Ruby's at the end of the Pier. At Laguna Beach we spent time on the beach and my 12 yr old DS enjoyed the ocean. PERFECT DAY!

Did you bring your own towels and wear bathing suits? Was there some place to rent umbrelllas or chairs for the time you spent on the beach?

When you went on the boat ride did you see any sea lions?

I noticed with all the families on the bus tour it was mostly the children to teens that had some type of attire on for getting into the water. You could take beach towels to sit if watching young children. Our DS is 12 we just sat near by on a bench or in a grassy shaded area. We set a distance with him to go no further so we could see him. I wouldn't take the time to rent items. The beach area we picked there was a fun beachy store with towels and such. We bought a fun towel for our DS. This was in Laguna Beach. Newport Beach was the harbor cruise and yes we saw sea lions. We ate lunch at Ruby's at the end of the Pier surrounded by the ocean. Loved that! As a mom I wore really light weight clothing so if I wanted to dip my feet into the ocean I could but didn't have to worry if my clothes got a little wet.

Thanks for the info-I didn't really want to deal with wearing a bathing suit/changing clothes and was curious if others did. We won't have children with us and just want to enjoy the beaches but not necessarily swim while there. A nice stroll with the sandals off sounds good.

I hope we also see sea lions while on the boat ride!! We will check out Ruby's as well.

Thanks again!! :goodvibes

I am glad I checked out this thread. We were also interested in taking this tour, and now I am going to book it. Can't wait!!:beach:

That is great!:thumbsup2 The reason why I posted about our fantastic experience after we came back is because when I was searching for some input on the tour before we left for vacation I couldn't find much about it. So I am happy to help another DISer.:yay:
