Exactly and it was pretty much what I explained to him in a PM I sent him to clarify what I meant. The and on the Hillary thread and the grave dancing/coming up with ways of saying "byebyeObama" on the pastor thread was not only offensive, but extremely childish. It wasn't all the Hillary supporters doing it so I wanted to clarify my comment wasn't directed at all of them. And to clarify (outside the PM I sent) I'm not sickened by someone supporting Hillary but I'm sickened by the attitude of some in the past 24 hours since this Pastor story has come to light.

In a week when the cons move onto bashing Hillary, we'll see if they are still doing the

Just delurking to say that maybe now you know how I and a few others might have felt and why I at least rarely post on the Liberal thread. I think this bashing thing works both ways and is wrong in either case.

Well while there is a cat and mouse game going on here, I for one would like to know why it is nobody is commenting on the good Obama's church has clearly done, why it is nobody is commenting on what Obama has said today
Why it is we aren't talking about the economy, why it is we aren't talking about healthcare, why we aren't talking about voting records, why we aren't talking about secret earmarks, why we aren't talking about documents that have not been released as they should be... and there are about a dozen more things I'd like to discuss, so who is open to discuss these things or is business closed for the day?

Earlier today, the Clinton campaign demanded that Barack Obama release all the documents pertaining to the purchase of his home in 2005 on a piece of land adjacent to land owned by Tony Rezko.

The Obama campaign's response: We already have!

Says Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor, “It’s the height of hypocrisy for Senator Clinton to demand the release of documents that are already on our campaign website while she steadfastly refuses to release her full tax returns and earmark requests from her time in the Senate, as well as her White House records and Clinton library donors. Democrats across the country should be very concerned about Senator Clinton’s refusal to offer a full and complete accounting of what could be lurking in this financial information and what that would mean for our party when we run against Senator McCain in November.”

Just to review: Clinton's campaign has said she will release her tax returns before the Pennsylvania primary. But it hasn't made a pledge about donors to the Clinton library. The Obama campaign has long made an issue about Bill Clinton's post-presidency business connections.

Now I just want to say I bought a house that is substantially less than the Obama's, I got 10% off asking price... I've lowered the price on my other house that I'm selling by, oh, 25%, so getting 15% off a house deal isn't so uncommon IMHO.... getting a ten foot long stretch of land at fair market value, well, that's pretty legal too where I come from

Change of news....THere is an article on comcast.net that Obama picked up about 7 more SD's today...from John Edwards win in Iowa. It states at least half of them switched today mostly to Obama.

No Way!! I'd use another adjective but I'd get in trouble... we go through Pastor Gate and still pick up delegates in Iowa, that's more than a bit surprising IMHO.... I thought it would take a few days to a few weeks....

They weren't Super's, they are pledged delegates that switched.... according to the article.

I am staying away from the pastor thread, I read it last night and was so depressed. I read the new one with the good quotes, thanks chris1gill, to bad the haters went there too. I think it is good to stay away from them, they do not want to listen to truths, they just want to believe what makes it easy for them to appear not to be racist.

When I first moved to Alabama I was surprised by all the private schools, but soon realized how bad the public schools are. It took me longer to realize that it is a way for whites to send their kids to all white private schools and not appear to be racist. They can say it is to give their children a better education, they fail to say the public schools are bad because they will not support funding to make them better.

I do not think Obama will win the southern white vote, but Hillary won't either. I just hope that he can win and people will see that a black man can be a better president than the one we have now and it will start to change the mindset of racist. It has to start somewhere, why not with this man at this time in our history.

I realized the other day that I had stopped thinking of Obama as a black man and had just started thinking of him as a man. Maybe I will live long enough to see Dr. King's words come true, that a man will be judged by the content of his character not the color of his skin.

I think it is good to stay away from them, they do not want to listen to truths, they just want to believe what makes it easy for them to appear not to be racist.

I look at the votes Barack has made, I look at his legislation, I look at his history and there is nothing there that would give me pause, although if this pastor had a long history of what were in those clips, I would have been given great pause, but it does not seem that was the case.

So, it's full steam ahead.... picked up 7 more delegates today and we can hope Pelosi's words will come to fruition.

However, both Obama and Clinton lag behind McCain and I blame that on a long drawn out campaign like we have seen, it's unfortunate in a year where democrats should have won handily....

I wouldn't mind Nelson's plan to cut the delegates in half like the GOP did, but that doesn't take into account the number of Democrats that didn't vote in the first place since they thought their vote would not count.

Since Yesterday it seems Michigan has really stepped it up and come up with a plan to do a full primary (when initially they said they would not pay), now they've come up with funding apparently.... Personally I hope Michigan succeeds in their primary....

Florida's problems are much more complex, they have a Governor that refuses a full primary, and this write in they are proposing, cannot verify signatures.... I think they will have no choice than to either split the delegates 50/50 or take Nelsons suggestions and cut the award in half, if there is any award at all.... but, that goes back to the people who did not vote because they thought it would not count. Catch 22. Florida was one of 4 states where Democratic turnout was less than Republican.... Mitt's state Utah, McCain's state Arizona and Michigan were the other 3..... Too bad it was a Democrat in both Florida and Michigan that suggested this moving up of the primary....
