HI,

Considering staying here with my family of 5 in late April or early May 06. Our plans are to spend a few days at Sea World, a few at Disney and maybe Universal or a beach.

How is the resort & location? Is it a safe place?

I'd appreciate any advice.

I stayed here in January 2003. The resort itself was quite nice ~ the pool and hot tub were very clean and water was warm. We had a one bedroom unit and it was "okay" The location is the pits. There is so much construction on 192 that it took literally 30-40 minutes to get to Disney. There is lots of shopping in the area (Walmart, Walgreens, mall) but I did not feel safe out at night-time.
My DS5 was sick in the night and my DH had to go out for Gravol etc. about 2am. I was on the phone with our insurance company trying to decide where to take him and the phone literally came off the wall and disconnected my long distance call! :sad2: Its funny now, but at the time very frustrating.
I do remember the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were to leave the next day on the Magic for 7 days Eastern and were frantic when Joshua got that sick. They were so nice to us (& he was so much better the next day ~ we did our cruise!)
I would stay closer to Lake Buena Vista due to traffic and safety. Bryan's Spanish Cove is a great condo on SR535 as well as Vistana. You may even want to try the Springhill Suites on Vineland Ave.
