Oak Plantation or Polynesian Isles

I would think that Polynesian Isles would be better, at least from what I have seen and heard. I don't have first hand expierence with either. Oak Plantation is closer to Seaworld and "I" think it is in a better (easier to navigate) location. BUT, since you asked which would be a better "resort". I think from just looking around Polynesian isles, that it is a little higher quality and it is beautifully landscaped. Everything I have seen or heard about Oak Plantation, gives me the impression that it is of a little lower quality and worn. Hopefully you will get some input from folks who have stayed at either. I know, it's a hard call!

We have never stayed at the Polynesian Isles but have stayed at the Oak Plantation. This is a cut and paste of one of my earlier responses.

We spent November 1 = November 8th here and just loved it! The complex was on the small size, but nicely landscaped and very clean. We stayed in a larger one bedroom with living room area and full washer/dryer. My parents stayed in a smaller one bedroom with a combo washer/dryer. They found a great deal at 49.99 per night and were very happy with their one bedroom.

They had a 'dive in' night while we were there. It was a movie played outside by the pool - people seemed to enjoy it. The staff were very friendly. The complex is in a circle and the sign past the gate directs you to the Fitness Area, Activities area, pool area and ends with, "PS don't worry it's a circle". That sign made me giggle each time we drove in.

There is free coffee available each morning at the reception area. My daughter enjoyed going out to the gazebo and feeding the ducks. The staff were great about washing down all walkways several times a day. Both room locations were very quiet.

It was nice to have a bathroom with drawers and a medicine cabinet, you can tell this used to be an apartment complex. We enjoyed having these features. There is another post about their stay and rather than repeat, I'll just link.
