So I'm going through my wardrobe for comfy cloths to wear to the park for our upcoming trip (leave Oct.26th) and low and behold I come upon my old denim overall shorts. I haven't worn these in years but oh how they are so incredibly comfortable. My question is this: Are these overalls so out that I would look ridiculous or are these still being worn? Comfort is everything to me when we are at the parks, but looking ridiculous is not. Thanks ladies!

Unless you want to end up on "What Not To Wear" I would say that they are out. Sorry. I have a couple of pairs in my closet from 10 years ago, but I'm just saving them... just in case I might need them for something.

Well, at WDW anyting comfy does go.....But otherwise, OH NO! There is nothing flattering and everything weight adding about overalls!

On a side note, I about peed my pants the other day when I came across an episode of 90210 and there was Dylan McKay wearing overalls, with one strap undone!:rotfl:

Thank you ladies! You've confirmed what I already thought, but was hoping to hear that maybe, just maybe they were o.k. to wear!

If you are going to Mickey's Backyard BBQ, the HDDR, or maybe lunch in the Land at Epcot - MAYBE. Otherwise, Stacey and Clinton would be horrified!

LOL, esp. about the one strap undone.

I must agree. No overalls. As comfy and wonderful as they are, they are best for little ones.

OMG!! :rotfl2: How I loved that show. I watched the reruns when they came on the soap channel, too funny!

Stacey & Clinton do not have anything nice to say about overalls. However, they'd probably have some comments about Disney too so you can't listen to them but so much. ;) But I do see their point that they aren't flattering & gave mine away finally.

Well, you will be there for Halloween. You could dress up as a farmer girl!

Maybe you could take the overalls that much further, and add some red ribbon with white dots and some bling? ;)

Be a whole 'nuther take on the boutique clothing - ADULT custom clothes, and really, is there anyplace OTHER than Disney you could get away with them?

Really, I have to agree with the above posters and go with what Stacy and Clinton would say. "NO".

But then, keep your pointy toe shoes at home too, 'cause they don't belong in the parks either.

Do you really care what others think? If they are comfy who cares?
I don't think anyone is going to "judge" your outfits @ Disney, but maybe I am naive here.
I still wear my short overalls for the very reason that they are comfy! I could careless if they are in style or not!

hmmm - two thoughts. First of all, they had them at stores in big girls (7-14) and jrs sizes last spring. We wanted them for our dance group and had plenty to choose from. So they can't be that far out of style:confused3

secondly - bibs with one strap off - yay!! My friend is going to have an 80's party and I didn't know what to wear.

True, I don't think anyone else at WDW will care what the OP is wearing; and if the OP doesn't care about how she'll look in her pictures and such, then no big deal.

However, Stacy and Clinton would say that there are plenty of comfortable clothing out there that also looks nice. Maybe the OP can treat herself to some nice, updated, comfy clothing. We do deserve to buy nice things for ourselves every now and then.

Personally, whenever I see an adult woman in overalls, I assume she's pregnant. :lmao:

(This from a person who wore her beloved overalls nearly every single day of college. Until future-DH basically wrestled them out of my hands and through them down the garbage chute. LOL.)

Actually there are some newer style ones, I bought some cute khaki capri cargo overalls from Kohls that I am saving for my April trip. I also have some cargo style shortalls from Old navy that a T strap in the back. DD16 was looking for overalls when she was school shopping and she is a fashion nut so they must be back in! :lmao:

I'm pregnant right now and the maternity stores don't even sell them anymore. When I was pg w/my 7 yo they had tons of them.

Or the mother of a 1 year old who hasn't *quite* lost all her pg weight.

With the short overalls, I agree with...if you went through the fashion ONCE already, one it comes back around, you're too old to partake.

I disagree with that about skirts with leggings and 80s jewelry (then again I'm not wearing those b/c I feel too heavy and I now react to earrings, sigh), but with shorts overalls....I'm not wearing 'em on this second time around.
