O.K...I need Pal Mickey help!

I bought a Pal Mickey some time ago...when they were on sale at the Disney Outlet. I have no idea where the directions are and the batteries have been worn out for some time. I just replaced the batteries and I can't seem to get him working! Maybe the batteries are faulty but can someone please tell me how to get him working...which hand to press etc.! I tried to find some online directions with no luck....any help would much appreciated! This will be our first time bringing him to WDW and my son is really excited about it!

I'm assuming that you purchased the original Pal Mickey. Given that, it should work automatically once you have put the batteries in. If the switch is in the on position then you can squeeze either hand or his belly and he should speak-up. If that doesn't work, the batteries are your first suspect. Find some that you know are new so that you can rule that out. Also, did it work the first time that you put batteries in it? When you removed the old batteries did you see any evidence of a battery acid leak? If so, try to scrape off any crusted acid residue that you can see. If none of this works, I would recommend taking him to a location that sells Pal Mickey in the park once you get there. If you are nice and explain that you haven't been able to get him to work, there is a possibility that they will just replace him with a new Pal Mickey (no Promises!). I also read some where that you could trade in an old Pal Mickey for a new one and just pay some amount in difference. I'm not sure where I read that or if they are still doing that but, it might be worth looking into. If you choose either of these options, I recommend going to the Main Street Cinema (I believe that is one of the main places that they sell Pal Mickey's). OT but does PAL mickey work in DL too??? I'm getting one for my sister for X-mas for our upcoming New year trip but we will be going to DL next summer

Pal Mickey seems to be a Florida resident.
He only knows his way around Disney WORLD.

Pal does NOT work in DL. Though I'm still taking mine because what's a Disney vacation anymore without the little guys? But he will not work out there, he's going for photo ops only that and to cheer his "mom" in the DL Half.

I have pictures of me and my running partner the day after the WDW Half with our medals and our HCOE Pals so it's only fitting that we drag along our older Pals to DL to have their pictures taken with us and our future medal

BTW, I've heard of others taking them out to DL and know some have made visits to DL Paris.

I've heard they are happy to change the batteries if you have a fresh set with you. I would take a fresh set with you if you can't get him working. That way they will see that it is the Pal Mickey and not the batteries.
