O Christmas Tree
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!
How are thy leaves so verdant!
Not only in the summertime,
But even in winter is thy prime.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How are thy leaves so verdant!
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Much pleasure doth thou bring me!
For every year the Christmas tree,
Brings to us all both joy and glee.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Much pleasure doth thou bring me!
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Thy candles shine out brightly!
Each bough doth hold its tiny light,
That makes each toy to sparkle bright.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Thy candles shine out brightly!
My preference is Scotch Pine (the most popular Christmas tree in Canada), but this year the selection was slim. There was some sort of blight that had affected the SP harvest.
DH bought and set up our tree the day before I came home from WDW, a task he was very nervous about. He seems to think I'm very particular about my Christmas trees. Don't understand that at all...
. Anyway, he brought home a Frasier Fir. It's quite nice, although a lot of the branches are a little too weak to hold my heavier ornaments. I'm just thankful that he took care of it for me!
In our neck of the woods, a Frasier Fir (approx. 6 1/2 - 7ft.), goes for $65. Trees are pricey!
What kind of tree did you get? Did you stick with a traditional favourite, or go out on a limb (lol), and try something different?
Keep it watered, and away from direct sources of heat, and ignore what the lyrics above say, no candles!!!
