NYE - Where to rest?

My daughter and her friend are going to be in Disneyland for NYE. They both know it is going to be VERY crowded and realize they won't be able to go back and rest at their hotel.

I have read some threads looking for the answer to my daughter's question, and I found one suggestion - play cards at Hungry Bear. They have reservations at Blue Bayou at 6:30, so that will be something as well.

So where are some places to rest at Disneyland?

I love grabbing one of the picnic tables at Pirate Island and hanging out for a bit while I recharge. I've also ridden the train for a few loops before.

I think that cards at Hungry Bear is an excellent way to pass the time- and it might be one of the quieter spots in the park.

Thanks for the suggestion , but I think they were hoping to rest their legs. They are going to be there for five days, so I don't think they are planning on riding much that afternoon/evening. They just want to take in the NYE festivities and crowd.

Now that cracked me up, only because it's so true! LOL!!

They can always grab a spot for the fireworks and rest. People will start sitting in the Middle of Main Street to save their place for the midnight fireworks quite early, around 8:30 or 9:00. We took a blanket and rented a locker to store it until we needed it that night. The only bad thing about just sitting in one spot for so long though was that I got sooo cold!

If they have a reservation at Blue Bayou, then (unless someone can watch their spot) they probably won't be viewing the festivities from the hub or Main Street. In that case, there are several ways to rest and pass the time: riding the train has already been suggested, there are tables at Hungry Bear, Pizza Port, etc. for playing cards, watch Mr. Lincoln at the Opera House, maybe catching Mickey and the Magical Map.

Also going to the Tiki room for a show is a good sit for a while. It's not usually a long wait, usually you get in for the next show. I don't know on NYE though if even that will have a line.
