Being at the Magic Kingdom on New Years Eve has been a bucket list item for me for a very long time. I know that it will be very crowded. We have visited during Christmas and Thanksgiving and are fine with the crowds and usually take long trips so we don't feel like we need to get everything done in a short time.
Does anyone have any recommendations of a place where a family (2 adults, 2 teens) can sit and camp out for about 5 hours to wait for the fireworks/countdown? Anywhere in Magic Kingdom would be ok as long as I can hear the countdown and see the fireworks, doesn't have to be Main Street.
I thought about maybe Tortuga Tavern (step out during fireworks) or Tomorrowland Terrace but thought that might not work if we weren't actively eating. Any suggestions?
Also, do they hold the desert party on New Years Eve?
TIA!
