NYE Magic Kingdom Spot to Sit and Relax/Camp Out?

Being at the Magic Kingdom on New Years Eve has been a bucket list item for me for a very long time. I know that it will be very crowded. We have visited during Christmas and Thanksgiving and are fine with the crowds and usually take long trips so we don't feel like we need to get everything done in a short time.

Does anyone have any recommendations of a place where a family (2 adults, 2 teens) can sit and camp out for about 5 hours to wait for the fireworks/countdown? Anywhere in Magic Kingdom would be ok as long as I can hear the countdown and see the fireworks, doesn't have to be Main Street.

I thought about maybe Tortuga Tavern (step out during fireworks) or Tomorrowland Terrace but thought that might not work if we weren't actively eating. Any suggestions?

Also, do they hold the desert party on New Years Eve?

TIA!

Yes fireworks parties have happened in the past but sell out very quickly. Not this year obviously. To me the cost of a party would be worth the dedicated prime viewing spot and not having to spend five hours of a park day staking out a spot.

A good spot is at the tables and chairs by Indy speedway. Also by Gaston's tavern

As someone who has done NYE at the World, twice, know that it is probably the busiest day of the year. Magic Kingdom will reach capacity throughout the day. Because of this, historically, NYE has been celebrated on the 30th at MK as well, which gives you the ability to see it with less crowds (but still crazy), and explore another park on NYE itself, if that's the desire. On 12/31/2019, RotR even had reservations available through noon at DHS...

Getting out of the parking lot after is also the most crazy part of the day.

For the NYE fireworks, animations on the castle are not used, and fireworks are launched from locations all around the Magic Kingdom--a true 360 degree show. It's insane, it's crowded, and be prepared for your feet to hurt, but it's one of my favorite memories, and totally think it's worth it to see it in person.
