I'm planning our first trip to DL for late August. What would you say is a "book now" price for round trip from NYC (JFK or Newark) to LAX? Right now JetBlue has round trip flights within my dates for $317. Having never flown to LAX, I'm thinking that's a good price, but curious if I should hold out for lower since we're still over 4 months away. I'm flexible with dates but would like to go sometime from between the 21st and 31st ($317 right now is for 24-30).

That's a pretty good price for summer air travel for round trip air between JFK and LAX. I would say book it.

I have flown round trip to the East Coast about half a dozen times and depending on time of year it can be $300-$400. $317 is a good price especially if it's the times you want.

I booked a flight from Newark to BUR or Bob Hope Airport for $316.00 round trip. Burbank is only an hour away from Disneyland and a small cute airport. I say book.

If you get round trip for 300-350 that is a book now deal. We spend more but that's because we fly Mint on Jetblue and take the red eye back home. Sleep on the plane then back to reality :(

LAX is closer. 33 miles from Disneyland versus 40 miles for Burbank according to Google maps. If you can get there, John Wayne Orange county airport is the closest at 16 miles. As always, traffic can change travel time.

Also consider Long Beach and Ontario. Burbank is the furthest and that traffic can be awful depending on time of day. If you arrive after 10 AM in Ontario or Long Beach it's about a 35 minute drive max. Of course, like tvguy mentioned, SNA is closest. But if you get a MUCH better price for LAX, LGB or ONT I wouldn't hesitate for those.

Just doing a quick google flight search flying into Long Beach is the same price round trip on Jet Blue. Long Beach is a small and easy airport to get in and out of and is closer than LAX to Disneyland.

I was pricing a Newark - LAX trip for my sister-in-law to join us in Disneyland, and saw some flights on United for $345 that would get her in town when we would be there. I think that's a good price for the distance being traveled and I'd probably book it.

Book it!
I would be THRILLED! I have watched airfare for six months for our upcoming June trip, and finally booked at $490. We have a small airport with only two airlines. Usually we can drive an hour and save at least $100 each but this time that wasn't the case. But, I'm going to Disneyland!!
