I don't know of a NYC board but when I travel I ask questions on the Community board and everyone is very helpful. The DIS people know everything! I have gotten names of hotels and restuarants and even offers to be our tour guide. Usually someone either lives where I am traveling or has traveled there themselves so they can tell you where to visit or eat and the places you should skip.

they have a talk board there with tons of information. I have always found very useful information on NYC there.

If you have AOL, go to keyword "travel" and they have a NY message board. There's quite a bit of traffic on it and it's user friendly.
