Hope I've put this in the right place.

Could someone please recommend a really good place for steak in NYC. Hopefully not too hard to find

We have had some amazing steaks in Charleys in Orlando anf are coming to NYC for Easter and would appreciate some recommendations. Money isn't an issue.

I haven't been there myself but my parents have, but Peter Luger in Brooklyn is supposed to be the best. I just went to their website and they claim to have been rated #1 by Zagats for the last 20 years. Here's a link:

Another good place for steak is Morton's on 45th Street in Manhattan or Old Homestead in the meatpacking district also in Manhattan.

The best place for steaks in NYC is Peter Luger's. It is located in Brooklyn, not in Manhattan. It also is located in a questionable neighborhood. You can take a taxi there, and ask the hostess to arrange for transport back to Manhattan. If you don't want to go into Brooklyn, I think the next best place in NYC is Smith and Wollensky's.
