NY no longer requiring quarantine for domestic travel effective April 1!!!!!

So excited. I will be fully vaccinated by my March 29th trip so I was going to be okay but just knowing we no longer need to at all makes me happy for all the other trips I have planned!

OnMarch 19th, it becomes a “guideline” not a “requirement “ in CT.

We're in MA...if only, lol. Right now only travelers from Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, Missouri, and Puerto Rico are exempt from our mandatory quarantine/testing rules due to being low risk States. I don't see Florida joining the list anytime soon... (We're going in mid-April.). And it'll be a long time before we can get the vaccine as part of the general population....

I am thinking that the lifting of the required quarantine and testing post-trip means also no need to test within 72 hours of leaving the destination, right? I can't seem to find anywhere that specifically addresses this. But then again, it's moot if no quarantine & test upon arrival back to NY. Is that what everyone else is thinking?

Nevermind - someone posted this on the Transportation board and it makes perfect sense:

Sorry for cluttering the thread with asking and answering my own question!

I am actually REALLY glad you did this, I was just searching for this exact information. I'm planning a trip for May and both my husband and I will have vaccines but our 7 year old son will not and I was wondering if I would still have to have him tested. This solves that question since the quarantine is lifted. So thank you for answering your own question! :)
