NY/NJ locals?? Help with parking in NYC or NJ for Oct. 29th Magic cruise

I have been looking for a deal on parking rates. The prices seem great to park in surrounding parking garages, until you plug in the date. If it is not a sail date, parking is super cheap. The minute you plug in 10/29...double the price.

Are there any hotels where I can pay for a nights stay and get free parking for the week? Any ideas on how I can save some money?

As for parking... maybe consider parking further away and plan on taking a taxi to the pier. I would imagine (I don't know for fact) that if the garage is far enough away it might not impact the fee. The price of the taxi would probably be worth it.
