NY/Metro area flyers out of LGA...

I'm flying out of LGA in April w/ my family and I'm interested in parking lots for the week. Having grown up in Queens and lived on final approach for a few years, there was never a need to park at LGA. Now that we're in NJ, I have to figure out where we should go.

When at Newark or JFK, I park at an Avistar lot. I'm going to check and see if there are any near LGA, but if you have experience with good offsite lots, can you respond?

We're travelling the week going into Good Friday so I expect any long term lots on site will be full.

We always use Avistar. They do have a location at LGA. If you have AAA they offer a discount too!

that it appears the Avistar lot is full for our trip. Had this happen in November out of JFK as well. Must have waited too long.

Anyone use the Dollar Rent A Car airport parking facility? They have a price of $102 including tax for 7 days. Considering that even with a coupon Avistar was $99.95 before tax that's a pretty good price.

Just want to be somewhere where we'll get a decent shuttle and reasonable response time when we arrive back at the end of the week.

who parks long term? I really need to make a reservation, considering Avistar is all booked up already.

Sorry, we live in Manhattan so we don't drive and park. Have you looked into the price of doing a service like SuperShuttle to the airport and back? If the long term parking rates are so expensive and many lots are full, you might want to forego driving at all. I know that coming from NJ might be a lot, but you could check it out and see which works out better financially.
