This is our first trip to Walt Disney World

The cast:
Me27-NvrBnToWDW
DH29-Babe
DS11-Sci-Fi Guy
DS9-Loudboy

The alarm's going off, but I just closed my eyes. Oh yeah, we're going to WDW today! I get up and begin getting ready. "Get up Babe!" Put on my makeup. "Get up, Babe!" Fix my hair. That's it! "Babe, get up! It's almost 3:30 and you brother's coming to take us to the airport in 45 minutes." Babe responds with "I'm up." You're not up until you're vertical is what I always say. So I go and get the kids up. Loudboy popped up like he was a Pop-Tart. Good I don't have to worry about them. While Loudboy was brushing his teeth, Sci-Fi Guy tells me "Thanks Mom for going through all the trouble of planning this trip." I almost wanted to cry. I asked how he was feeling and hehad no fever or headache but was just a little nauseous. Now that I think about it I'm a little queasy too. Don't think about it, we're going to WDW! Boys are up and getting ready and Babe is looking for shorts to wear. "You need pants, it'll be cool on the plane." I tell him, but he doesn't listen. When I bend over to put something in the suitcase, it hits me....I run to the bathroom and throw up. Babe asks (with a grossed out look on his face) if I'm okay. I look at him, then run back to the toilet and throw up again. He asks if I'm going to be okay. "I'm fine, let's go." Nothing will come between me and Mickey! My BIL arrives and we head out to the airport 30 minutes away. Sci-Fi Guy tells me he feels queasy and so do I, so being on the road for 30 mins is not the best place for us.
We make it. We get dropped off and get in line with the other crazies (people traveling to WDW at 5 o'clock in the morning). This is our first time to the airport and have no idea what to do. We check in our luggage and go through the chaos of taking our shoes off and putting everything in bins for the x-ray machine. Finally, we're into the gate area and trying to put on our shoes and Loudboy has to go to the bathroom like now! He can't wait to put on shoes and Babe runs them to the restroom. We're in the wrong gate and I manage to carry 2 camera bags, a backpack, a carry-on and jackets 4 gates down by myself.
Now we wait, and I'm still queasy. We board and take-off wasn't bad, no ear-popping. Flight was good, but I spent most of the time bent over getting stuff out of the kids backpacks to keep them busy. Everyone's so excited, no one can sleep. Except Babe, Babe could sleep if a jackhammer was under his pillow. And to think I felt bad for him. I felt bad cause this was our first flight and he was going to sit by himself across from us. He was afraid to fly and I sat him by himself. But look at him all relaxed and sleeping. I'm the one that has to deal with the kids and get them everything they need, I'm the one that gets stepped on everytime they have to go to the bathroom.
Finally, the captain announces that we're descending and that's when it all started..... the horrible ear-popping. It was awful! We all had gum, but it didnt' help. It was unbearable! At one point it felt like I had a mouth full of Pop-Rocks candy (I don't know if you remember that) and I felt my teeth with my tongue to see if they were still there. I actually thought that my teeth had shattered in thousands of pieces! And the kids, the poor kids! Not only my kids, but babies were crying behind us. Poor Babe! He couldn't stand it!
We landed, but our ears were plugged up and it was like we were in a silent movie.
Somehow, we got off the plane and into another planet! I had no idea MCO was so huge! I had no idea where to go. Babe yelled, "What do we do now!" and I yelled back, "Look for people with Mickey hands!" Babe looked at me like I had just described a new disease. We just walked and ran into a CM with big, white Mickey hands and they told us to go to another CM with Mickey hands down to the left. We found that CM and she told us to get on a tram to the main building. We did that and got off and found another CM that told us to go to another CM on the left. I thought we were going to WDW not "The Amazing Race". That CM tells us to go down 2 flights of stairs and get in line for "The Magical Express". We find the line and Babe & the boys wait for me on the side. They stamp my ticket and look me up on the computer and then tell me to go get in another line for Pop Century guests. We get in that line and after 5 minutes they start loading us up in the bus. The bus was very nice and cold and I opt to sit with Babe since I had spent 2 1/2 hours sitting with the boys. Babe tells me, "It's cold, it was cold in the plane." Hmphh, if only you had known before. Well we sit back and relax. The driver announces our time of arrival and that he will put on a Disney movie for us to enjoy while we ride. So the movie starts and it's "A Shark's Tale". Immediately, my boys whip their heads to look at me and being the future Lucas/Spielberg team they know everything about film producers, directors, and production companies. I know what they're thinking, "Dreamworks is not Disney!", so I smile at them and they begin laughing. It was such a silly thing but it was a very special moment and I realized that this really was "The happiest place on earth."

TO BE CONTINUED..................

Episode 3:

Keep the reports coming!!! Glad to hear everybody starting feeling better!

Can't wait for the next installment!

Wow! So much excitement and you're not even there yet. I'm anxious to read the rest of your reports.

You are so lucky you did not keep puking. 3 years ago, we were suppose to drive out to Washington DC. on a Sat. Friday nite at midnite I started throwing up. First time in 15 years. It lasted till 5 in the morning. Finally I had enough and got up off the floor, washed my pillow and took a shower. I didn't tell anyone else what happened, (I didn't want to jinx anyone else). Well we didn't leave till 4 in the afternoon, so I was able to rest and let my stomache settle. I really didn't eat for 2 more days. Do you think it was nerves or food poisoning or a stomache virus.

Loving the report and we haven't got through the purple gates yet. Off to part 3,

Claire

I started throwing up waiting to go into MK for a Crystal Palace breakfast to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. (Lucky there are plenty of restrooms and it was quiet cos only 8.00am). Very glad the meal was part of our ticket package as spending more than $20 on two bananas and a glass of water (none of which stayed put, if you see what I mean) would have been adding insult to injury. :sad2: Managed to do River Safari, but Dh and boys did flying carpet, POTC, Stitch and Buzz without me while I watched the birds, checked out ALL the restrooms and finally admitted defeat. Afternoon spent lying down while DH and boys visited DTD and the pharmacy to buy some Imodium so we could go out the next morning (yes, it turned into one of THOSE bugs, luckily once we were back at the hotel)
