A Magical Day @ the Magic Kingdom. Up at 6 for a valentines breakfast with pooh @ the CP. As mentioned before DH was thrilled with no crowds to get into the park. Rode the monorail into the park and was picked up by the Firetruck to be delivered to the CP. Our first view of the Castle! Characters were great, lots of interaction, Tigger played havoc with our cameras & stole DS' and snapped shots. DD1 showed piglet her piglet pin and he rubbed her down w/ his nose as she collapsed in a glale of laughter. Our sever was wonderful and let us know, as newbies what to expect. Food was good and hot as I think we were 1st seating. The chef at the griddle was a show himself as you watched him make your ommlet or Mickey pancakes. After breakfast thru the castle to Fantasy Land. Still no crowds, walked onto Pooh, Small World, Haunted Mansion. We were moving slow and taking in all the splendor. Waited for HOP to open and then went in, rode the riverboat, stopped in for the CBJ,watched a banjo band in front of the arcade and tried to pursade DS to try it but he informed me he is not "into" guns, though I secretly wished to play, what could I say"Well your Mom IS?" Over to Big Thunder Mt. DD1 was NOT thrilled with this so she & I sat out, we went & got a snack(coffee for me,soda & chips for her) then I remembered the child switch and asked for a pass, What fun! No one was brave enough this morning to try Spalsh Mt. On to Adventure land, POC(walkon), Jungle cruise (maybe a 3 boat wait). By now we're all rumbly in our tumblies so to Casey's for some dogs & fries. We sat outside & watched the world go by. People started lining up for the parade so when we finished we took a seat curbside in front of Casey's. The cheerleaders came out & started to whip up the crowd. Two marching bands came by. (Personal Note: I love marching bands and hope that someday DS who has been playing Trombone for 3 years will someday be in one, but he's more into Keith Lockhart than John Phillip Sousa. oh well! ) Then the music started and the parade started down our way. My reaction suprised me so. Here's where the balling my eyes out starts. I just started crying, the good cry like you just won publisher clearing house. I felt like a fool. The kids had eyes as big as punch balls & were waving their little arms off. Suddenly there were the lost boys inviting my 2 DDs to come and play with them. They jumped up and helped the LB scare the villians on the float behind them, with my DD2, Emma right out in front. I will never forget the site of her looking as scary as a sweet little girl can look with the lost boys around her! Of course at this point the dam broke & I needed oxygen to recover. After we composed ourselves, the kids wanted to see the treehouse, then the magic carpet ride. We crossed over to Tommorrow Land and got FP for Buzz, rode the TTA, did the speedway, The girls loved the TTA so we had to do it again. Returned to Buzz, we loved this ride. Walked to Toon Town and had a ice cream on the way. Walked thru Minnie's place, DH, DS, DD2 did barnburner twice. Me & DD1 took a powder, Can you tell we're not RC fans? Walked to the Tommorrow Land bridge and waited for Tink to fly! After the fireworks we sat in front of the Walt & Mickey statue and let the huddled masses exit, then strolled down Mainstreet to the exit and ferry. It was a totally perfect day in every way!:)
