Fellow nurses, where do you get your CE hours? I have always used my RN magazine, but the CE's are now only 1 per test and I need 24 CE's.

So, What are you favorite magazines or websites for CE's?

If you live in NE Ohio, chances are you are working for the Clinic, and they are always and forever bringing people in to give us our CE hours. Plus we get a free lunch out of the deal.

That's how I do it.

A friend of mine at UH has them available at work, too. She never goes and always ends up scrambling, but they have them there.

Dunno about Metro.

I am not a hospital nurse. I work for a small company that has 3 assisted living places for people with Alzheimer's and Dementia.

I use rnceus.com You can pay a flat rate of 30.00 for 30 hours. You can do them online in your spare time. They mail the certificate out pretty quick. :)

I am not a nurse, but a social worker needing CEU's

I use Homestead Schools for self study courses. They are really not that difficult. Usually you get a book and a test. Send the test form back and they send along your certificate. The prices are pretty reasonable, and you can do it at your leisure.

Hope that helps

I need 100 CE's to keep up my CCRN. When I am needing to bulk up I use Anderson

Essentially, you buy a book from them and they develop a course around it. 30 hours tends to be about 60 bucks plus... Your friends can take the class based on the book you bought for a much reduced price.

I have used Western also for many years. I have to get 45 with my RNC and 15 has to be in telehealth. Well, that's not easy but I managed last cycle.

I use westernschools.com as well! :thumbsup2 It's awesome to do the course in a day, print out your certificate and, VIOLA! 30 CEU's! This organization was acutally recommended to me by my state board of nursing.

Nursingspectrum.com

Some are free, some you pay for. They also have a flat fee program for unlimited ceu's.

WOW! Thanks everyone. I knew I could find an answer here.

I like to sit outside and do them while DD runs around the yard, but if I need to sit at the computer, so be it.

It may turn into a winter project!
