Number of people in 1 bedroom villas

How many people can stay in a 1 BR villa.

Can you get 5 if you bring your own air mattress and pay for extra towels etc?

Lots of controversy and discussion on this point - the rules state 4 people allowed in a 1BR and I think exceptions made for very young kids hence the somewhat odd replies



It is ultimately up to DVC and you the member to respectively enforce and abide by the rules

Occupancy is a subject that always gets locked on the DVC board because it usually gets so heated between the people who read the literature they get when they buy and the people who believe the salespeople who tell them it doesn't matter. It usually gets moved or locked and told to move over to the Debate Board.

People are being coy because occupancy is an infammatory subject here.

Some people feel that DVC is best treated as a tenament, jam in as many as you can or want.

Others feel that the contracts they signed are worth something and they feel like they are being cheated when other over occupy their rooms.

The latter is pretty reasonable. The resorts were designed for a certain number of people, when people cheat and steal(over occupy their room) there are less resort ammenities available...ie:spots for the unbirthday party, seats on the bus, reservations at the eateries, etc, etc.

The rule is four plus one child under three, that is the agreement you signed or assumed when you bought, bought resale, or rented points for this stay.

Disney will probably not do bedchecks...for now.

No BenC it's a joke on the DVC board.... Studio and 1 bedroom occupancy is a topic of hot debate...so the question is no longer allowed...It is only allowed on the debate board...and Doc the boards moderator usually closes them immediately....It is nothing personal with you just how things work here...
