I know some of you love to crunch numbers. I don't have another day off for 2 weeks and am working over 100 hours in next 11 days, so asking for help so I don't have to spend anymore hours on this than I have.

Resort: Contemporary Theme Park view Sept26-30
I have several quotes. One is for free dining with 2 day tickets which I will then trade in for APs so no biggie on that cost. 2745
Another is for the 20% off room with 2 day tickets and pay for dining-2680.46

Ok that part is a no brainer. I'll pay for dining to save a few bucks.

Now here is where I am trying to figure this out. What I actually reserved is 20% with 1 day ticket and dining for 2503.68. This is for an adult and a 15yo BTW.

Now I'm trying to decide if it is actually going to be better to upgrade to deluxe dining. for 271.84

List of restaurants and what we would spend based on the menus. Dinner prices unless other wise noted.

Narcoose $140
Hoop De Do $126
Akershus for lunch $75
The Wave for breakfast $45
MamaMelrose for Fantasmic package $82
Boma for breakfast $42
Yak and Yeti for late lunch/early dinner $68
In room dining breakfast-I know this isn’t best deal since 2 credits but last day and trying to pack and do stuff $32
TRex late lunch/early dinner before heading home $92

Basically that is one meal day of arrival and 2 meals per day for the next 4 days. I’m torn. It almost seems to break about even, but wondering if we would eat that much if not on the meal plan. So basically I know personal decision, but does anyone see anything wrong with my math? Oh and yes I know tips not included, but I’m just comparing the food part. Thanks.

Oh and of course, this could all change when the AP or FL resident rates come out, but for now seeing if I'm doing right thing. The thought of basically paying 4-500 for a room is freaking me out. My goal is to stay at every hotel onsite. I have a habit of sticking with the same ones, whether it be value, moderate, or deluxe (I've been to Wilderness Lodge so many times I've lost count). This is first step. Only moderate I needed was PO-FQ and they didn't have anything so from Deluxes I needed I chose this one.

Adding them up I got $702 and if you are asking if its worth the FD plus upgrading to deluxe dining-yes it is

Looking at the numbers I definitely think it's worth it to do deluxe dining, I say go for it :thumbsup2

Actually decided against free dining. I am taking the room discount and paying for dining. I guess I'm leaning towards the deluxe even though normally we would eat that much. I wish Vic and Alberts was on deluxe. Always wanted to go there.
