AKL CL rooms will be on the 4th floor; usually in the first pod off the lobby on both Kudu and Zebra Trails. If you look at the map that johnsonet posted here yesterday, it should be rooms 4210-4225 (odd numbered rooms) and 4407-4422 (again, odd numbered rooms).

I have stayed CL many times and most often seem to get rooms # 4219 and 4225! I don't know which rooms or how many have King beds, but I can tell you that those 2 rooms are 2 queens!

You may be placed in the 2nd pod off the lobby, but most often it will be those first pods off the lobby.

The Itinerary Planning Office will be happy to list your room requests -- I prefer to work with them rather than DRC. AKL-IPO are the experts!

So glad I found this thread! Please add us to the list. We will be at AKL Kidani Oct 27- Nov 2. This will be our first trip as DVC owners and our first time at AKL! After reading here I can't wait to get there!!!! Any suggestion on making room request? We have our DD, her DH and our 2 DGD's that will be in a Studio, standard view and we have the 1 bedroom, standard view (plan on the girls staying in the room with us!) 1st trip for DGD's, I'm looking so forward to seeing those little faces light up!!!

Not sure anyone answered your Q and I'm just catching up after a quick trip last weekend. Awesome!!!

But since you have a 1br and studio with the same std view, my only real priority might be to call member services and have your reservations linked. You may want to go so far as to request "connecting" rooms since there is a 2br which really is just the two of those combined with a door in-between. Unless, of course, you want separation. But in any case, I'd request they be close. The hotel is amazing and sprawling as you would expect to accommodate a savannah full of animals and all the great viewing areas. But it could be a hike for your kids to come see the grand kids if you don't at least request near each other!

Good afternoon everyone! I am staying at Animal Kingdom for 3 days in the second week of July and I simply could not afford the Savanna view. I picked pool view as my hubby and I are just staying on resort for those 3 days. Please help me figure out whether I should switch to standard view or stay pool view. I want to be near the lobby/restaurants...it just seems the the pool view block of rooms that the Disney gal suggested (2451 to 2486) from the map I have...seem to be pretty far away...I am so confused. I also saw that the pool view rooms are on the zebra trail? Help all you AKL experts.... I have no clue what to request.... suggestions? Do the rooms all have balconies? Does the floor really matter? Thankyou all in advance for your help and suggestions....I have tried to read all of this forum, but there's so much information, my head is spinning! Thanks!

You're welcome! Yes, Wanyama is a wonderful sunset safari on the grounds of AKL. I've done it twice; most recently last October for our 30th anniversary! It was a wonderful evening! Wanyama can be booked by ANY AKL/AKV guest!

The Sunrise Safari is also fun -- and a bargain at around $70! Unlike Wanyama, the Sunrise Safari can ONLY be booked by guests staying Club Level. I've done the Sunrise 7 times!

The best advice I can give you is to utilize the IPO office. I always contact them as soon as I have a confirmation number! They are fabulous and will make any reservations you need, plus they can answer most any questions you have.

When you arrive at AKL, stop at Bell Services - they should have your Safari (check-in) packet and will escort you to the 6th floor. The CMs in the 6th floor Lounge are wonderful! They will be happy to assist you with any questions/requests you might have!

20 min from AKL.. 10 miles

I went to the super target that is literally 5 minutes from AKL.. Take the first light (sherbrete sp) to 192 and it's right before 429.. I was there and back in 15 minutes!

....Zebra Trail rooms could be either pool or savannah views....request "near elevator' and you'll get a great location...
