Hahahahaha! So true! Then you have the standard bathroom on the standard wing with the standard pool view near the standard parking lot. But that's an upgrade! Ha!

Basically, at Jambo you get a room or a suite if you are loaded....then you start picking what to look at!

And as much as they've tried to confuse us with all these categories and sub-categories, I think we're finally figuring it all out!

Rooms for CL (non-DVC!) are on the 4th floor, Arusha Savannah. The rooms will usually be in the first pod off the lobby in both Kudu and Zebra Trails. When staying CL, I only make my room requests through the IPO. The only request I usually make is which trail, Kudu or Zebra, I'd prefer! Rooms are the regular resort room with a few extra touches!

When staying CL, I also don't bother with online check-in - although there was a post recently that IPO was encouraging a guest to do online check-in. My next CL stay isn't until late August so I won't have any first-hand information till then.

Thanks, we are not DVC. I probably won't request any special trail as either one is ok by me.

I will be watching for your comments after your stay.

We haven't gone to the Mara yet, so I can't completely confirm, but they did have bags of Joffreys for sale in the Zwadi gift shop, so that might be a good sign.

I can check what coffee is being served later at the Mara. I am happy to say butts service has been much better! ! I guess we just had bad luck our first day. We did a lot of activities around the resort yesterday...lots of fun!

Gotta love auto-correct!! They come up with the best stuff!!!!

Seriously though, glad to hear the bus service has improved. There seem to be days here and there when the whole system seems to be out of whack!

Glad to hear!!! I haven't ever ate there, we have taken food back to the room, usually.

We always get eggs , potatoes, and some fruit to go, we like it.

Brandy- could you update us? After much thought I decided to nix the arrival night at the Hyatt and we are going directly to AKL. Our new dates are 10/24-10/28, AKL Jambo, CL.

Quick question---other than the CL DVC rooms at AKL is there another way to book CL w/DVC points? I keep debating buying but I like CL too much. Unfortunely come next June, we will be a family of 5 not 4+1 per disney, so will be limited in room choices.

Boma is a buffet, so the kids have the run of the food. I find this helps with picky eaters. When we were there in Jan, the 'kids section' had Mac & cheese, meatballs, Mickey ravioli, maybe chicken nuggets? There was also salad, fresh fruit, side of wildebeast, hummus, bread, soup, roast chicken. Not sure the 'pickiness level' but my kids did great. Of course we like buffets for the opposite reason-- my kids are picky--they won't eat off the kids menu most places.
