I think the pack and play size bed fits nicely in the area between the foyer and dresser. (where the connecting door usually is)

If you have a bunkbed room, the top bunk has rails all around. But, I don't know that I would want my toddler up there even with rails.

The table and chairs take up a lot of room by the slider but maybe you could squeeze it in there.

Yeah, I was thinking a bunk bed and DS6 could sleep on top, but he may freak out about that as well, so...was thinking possibly requesting a king bed room instead. DS could be on daybed and DD on her mattress (or if need be in bed with us).

We've pulled the mattress off the top bunk and laid it on the floor between the bunks and the queen.

We have a pool view room reserved. What are the best pool view rooms for a quick walk to the qs restaurant and busses?

Also, how many floors are there?

How do the AKL rooms compare in size to the moderates? I know they're smaller than the CR and Poly and BC rooms, correct?

Does a crib fit pretty well in a king or 2 queen bed room? Where do you normally put it? (DD2 has a toddler size air mattress that we're planning on bringing with which would be about the same size as a crib)

Do they have bed rails and/or cots to use?

She won't sleep in a crib or pack n play on vacation and it was a bit of a nightmare last year...so trying to come up with an alternative...

When we stayed at AKL in 2010, we put the crib in the vanity area, so it was a little tucked away (parallel w/the sinks). For us this worked out great because the TV/light from outside wasn't bothersome to the baby. We're hoping to do the same thing this trip. We just made sure to utilize the facilities before the baby went to bed! LOL!

So excited for our first AKL stay. We are booked in a 1 bedroom Savannah view at Kidani. We got a ridiculously good deal through our timeshare exchange, or we'd never have been able to afford the standard rates. We've been to WDW many times in the past, so we are very excited to be trying something new.

Any tips or tricks we should know?

What are the balconies like? Are there any safety concerns with little ones? I am guessing not, since this is Disney...

Just booked our ADRs yesterday and got BOG, so all is going well so far. If only the trip weren't 179 days away!

Welcome!! Good score on BOG! I am eating there in 49 days and so excited!

I don't think you will have a problem with the balcony..just make sure the door is locked when you are in the room. There is furniture on the balcony that could cause an issue

Congrats to both of you - wishing you fabulous vacations!

And the porch has very tight rails so no worries there - we had our 1 yr. old outside most of the time toddling around and we just made sure he couldn't climb on any chairs or anything. But pretty darn safe which was so nice....lots of quality time looking at the animals for the whole family.

My two little ones also loved the pool and walking down to the common areas. Enjoy - you'll have a GREAT time!

All the Jambo rooms that are not DVC and are not suites, are considered "standard". Then, just to complicate things - you can get a standard room with a standard view; a standard room with a pool view; a standard room with a Savannah view; a standard room with an Arusha Savannah view; or a standard room Club Level with a guaranteed Savannah view.

Hahahahaha! So true! Then you have the standard bathroom on the standard wing with the standard pool view near the standard parking lot. But that's an upgrade! Ha!

Basically, at Jambo you get a room or a suite if you are loaded....then you start picking what to look at!
