Does anyone know the price ranges, and does anyone have any recommendations? I cannot drink white wine, so I need to stick with reds... Any favorites? Planning waaaay ahead for our August 2013 stay...

Hello to all We will be traveling to AKV Kidani Savannah view, staying in a studio. It is for my 36th birthday and it will be my 3yoDD, my DH and me I cannot wait. We will check in on 2/23 & out on 2/25. There is so much info on these threads and I'm sure the answer I'm looking for is out there, but I'm going crosseyed reading all of this - LOL At any rate, this will be a surprise for my DD and I would like to have the best Savannah view possible from our balcony. Can anyone suggest what floor and room would be best for this? I would prefer a dedicated/non-connecting studio room; they seem to be quiter Also what is the difference between a deluxe studio a studio, if any? Any help here is much appreciated!! thank you _

Well for our Oct trip it will be DDs day. I asked her to start picking restaurants as we will only be there fri-mon lunch. She picked Jiko for bday dinner!! I'm so excited! While I love the theming of CRT, CM, etc the food is lacking. I'm so excited!!! (ok that was repetitive sorry)

Yes, I did it today. Just show up at the Boma podium at or a little before 4PM. We got a taste of Soup and a ZD, then they took us over to Jiko for a taste of their bread and dip service. Just like everyone has reported. I'm glad I finally got to do it!

I am glad that they are still doing this. When I visited in November, this was not on the activities guide and I was worried that it had been discontinued. Maybe they did not offer it as I was there during Thanksgiving week.

No more time left. Tomorrow is our last night and then we head to BLT. But I heard that the one at Sanaa is a "cultural tour" not "culinary". I will report on the "night vision" tour. I need to get going to wake Fran up so that we can report for that one!

Allison - After the cultural tour, one of Sanaa's chefs comes out and explains how they use tandoori ovens to make naan bread as well as slow cook their meats. The chef then brings out a sample of their Indian-style Bread Service appetizer.
