As to the fitness center, I think I found final word on the Disney site after posting my question. It wasn't where I'd expect the info to be, so it took a while to track down.

From Disney's Zahanati page:
Hours of Operation
Zahanati Massage & Fitness Center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. An attendant will be available within the facility from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. After this time, you will not have access to restrooms, showers, sauna or the locker room. To utilize the health club during non-attended hours, you will be required to use your Key to the World card.

I'd love it if someone who is going to be onsite could confirm this for me. It will make a difference in where we stay if the hours are limited.

I love shipping my luggage! When I get toward the bottom of Shampoo etc, I put it in a box. That's what gets shipped on vacation, then I throw away the empty for the trip home--and have access to souvenir space.
Let me Check w Dh re the fitness center. He told me everything was closed up when he went down there. He may have meant the lockers etc.

Welcome! I can only answer two of your three questions.

1) fitness center is not 24/7.
2) no idea sorry.
3) no fees for shipping. I shipped all of my luggage. I love the ease.

Brandi- Can we be the first on the list for Feb, 2014? 2/20-2/24 (or 25), AKL CL. My bday!!!! Plus I'm going to run the princess half with my mom.

Hi Everyone,

I have been following along for a while but rarely post.

I just wanted to add us to the list:

We just booked AKV - Jambo House Deluxe Studio CL - for 3/28 - 4/5/2014!

It is a graduation gift for our Son, he wants to do the Sunrise Safari. AKV is our home resort for DVC we love it!!! Spring Break 2014!! YAY!

Thanks so much for the link! Allears had a number of photos to give me an idea of the possible views ... Now, I will start praying for a complimentary upgrade ... perhaps they won't be able to sell out all of those obscenely priced savannah view room, and I might actually get a sprinkle of pixie dust which has eluded me in over 35 on-property stays

Thank you so much for the add! I am not going to let a less than stellar balcony view impact a wonderful vacation. Having visited and explored the Lodge last year before a dinner reservation at Boma, we were able to experience the public viewing areas and the exquisite beauty of the Lodge and grounds. DS and I are beyond excited for this trip!

The one time I booked a Std. view, I was bumped up to a Sunset Savanna view. It wasn't a very good location of the savanna but I wasn't about to complain

Just booked our flights last night with our JetBlue points. The bad news: our original departure date cost too many points for us. The good news: we only had enough points to move out departure date to 1 day earlier!! Now we just need to decide where to stay the first night.

Hello again,

We're about 2 and a half months away and naturally some questions are coming up. So I came to the experts.

1. I saw the new menu changes for Sanaa and have read all the great reviews so I'm thinking we should try it. My question is, is it a good restaurant for kids? I have a 6 and 2 year old and don't want to feel out of place.

2. Night vision goggles. I read you can use them. Who can use them (adults? Kids?) and where can you get them?

3.Our trip is short, 5 days,and will be doing a day-ish at each park. Are there any absolute must dos on the resort that we should find the time to do?

On the night vision goggles, there is a CM who has the goggles. The CM let's each person take a turn to use the goggles. Children can use them also, but it would be very hard for a very young child to see anything.

The viewing area is beyond the smaller spa.
